Bartel the bigger upside maybe?? (his best season average much better than boyd's - 125 v. 106, yet he's $20,000 cheaper). I just had this thought looking at a couple of otehr threads, have had boyd locked away for a few weeks now, but just starting to waver on him - someone made a good point that his disposal is questionable & his price doesn't fluctuate much - therefore, you're not really getting any sort of fantastic value for money.

What do people reckon out of these 2??

when picking your premuims their price fluctuation shouldnt really come into it. you pick them to play 22 games, not because they might drop in value. EVERY player drops at some stage after one sub standard game, but if you have someone from the start the advantage you have clearly is points in the bank by the time they bottom out and other people jump on.

True. But for arguments sake, if you have 2 guys who end up playing all 22 games & let's say they average exactly the same (which conceivably Boyd & Bartel easily could), but one started out being $20,000 cheaper, isn't he a smarter choice?
As you can then spend that extra $20k elsewhere, or save it & use it to help with later trades/upgrades...
I'm just playing around with things in my head...

Agreed. These two will deliver consistently over a long season. you won't be disappointed either way. 8)

Same same, both consistent and will average similiar, go bartel as he's cheaper or whoever fits in with how many players you have from dogs and cats.
