gibbs will be great , if you get into the granny, make sure you keep a trade for him [sideways]. you nedd wins to get to a granny, you need points to get wins, you need players to get points. simple just keep a trade for him

Yeah of course you can :) Didn't mean to come off aggressive!

I'm just not sure I see the logic behind it is all. Plenty of alternatives

I agree with your logic Ossie, its Fantasy Football - anything that can go wrong, will go wrong.

its risky to be burning trades in finals before the season has started...

remember last years GF debacle 4 trades probably wouldnt have been enuf...

Gibbs will be the 2nd best defender for the whole year, and i wouldn't be leaving him out for the entire season, because someone might get injured at the wrong time.

And that's fair! But there are quite a few midfielders that'll score just as well as Judd

I agree with ossie. We are given 24 trades (I think) for the year.
Effectively, if you go in with Judd and Gibbs and trade them out in the prelim. You are down to 22 trades and the ball hasn't been bounced. if you do what yorgis suggested you are down to 20 trades.
It also means that even if you keep trades you effectively have no trades available in the last 2 weeks. I'm not doing that.
I don't really care if he is going to be the 2nd highest scoring back. I will simply trade down to a cash cow and then re-allocate the money in another position where I will make up the points ie. Cox & Bock over Gibbs and Tippett.

Alot of good points made by everyone.

At the end of the day Gibbs and Judd could score really well for those that have them (and probably will).  They can then be traded or benched for the prelim.

But lets face it, that's a long way off, and luck with injuries/suspensions and good list management will play it's part as it always does. An solid stadegy will be a key factor this year

I'm just going in with Gibbs and trying to get alot of MPP coverage from the start to minimise trades through out the year. Hope it works 8)
