Stop giving all the n00b readers insight to all mature aged rookies in your columns! Every single team now will have Mzungu, Puopolo, Richardson etc. Stop giving out easy tips, let the players choose their own unique teams and do the research themselves...

Every single team will be the same this year now. I can't garuntee you Shane Crawford didn't pick that team himself, or else it would be overloaded with Hawks players, like every other year. :(

Second that! Ah well just let them copy Crawfords team. What a piece of crap that is lol

ando_10

just curious to whats the difference between reading an article in the herald sun or logging on to here, posting ur team and then changing it on the advice of complete strangers??? almost all teams on here ive looked at are pretty much alike ???

yorgis

all's fair in love and war.you still have to pick your own side and i think you have to go with you gut feeling on selections.

Alex7089

Not much really. the teams I've looked at are quite unique, but I'm looking in a different place.

I suppose the difference is if you were serious about wanting to do well in supercoach, you would come here and spend quite a bit of time studying etc.

If you are lazy or a casual SCer, you are more likely to go to the Herald Sun where they will hand you a few picks we've had locked in since draft day.

Ultimately it is the guys who know what they're doing who will go well. Especially with the bye adding that extra factor, trading and uniques are more important than the nuffie picks like Goddard.

This should be in the SC general section BTW.

all's fair in love and war.you still have to pick your own side, and go with your gut feeling with selections. ie you post your team and 1 person criticises it another thinks it's solid. good to get peoples opinions but, hey, its up to the coach

Very true and in the end it all comes down to which trades you choose to make. Thats what will be the difference between being up there and not up there

Dear Fanfooty members,

Stop whinging about the Herald Sun telling the public what players to pick. 1. This is a public website that anyone can get the info off its not some special secretive club that only the best fantasy football players can use. 2. If you do the right research you will have a better team then what the sun suggests anyway. 3. Picking a balanced side is more important than ever this year, let them pick players that have byes the same times as other players they will lose so many points.
4. Its not all about who you pick at the start its the trades and bench cover during the year that is equally as important.

DONT BE SCARED OF NOT RANKING HIGHLY JUST BECAUSE THE SUN GAVE A FEW PLAYERS OUT. none of them were unique anyway.

SydneyRox

I dont know, Petrenko is a good unique, hope some more people pick him up! And Amon Buchanan, solid SC player, thanks Shane and HS!! :)

Alex7089

True, but I'd rather them leave it be than feed them some good picks (albeit obvious) and then feed them some bad ones.

Regardless I think if we do our work with the resources and knowledge we have it shouldn't be too hard for us to knock of the nuffies!

Well I don't know about you but I haven't ever posted my team or anything on this forum. I like to be unique and research my own stuff, rather than just being told what to do.. I only use this forum to check how players are going in pre-season. Hey, it worked well for me last year but every year is different.

Alex7089

I post my team. Private forum ;)
I'm the same as you though I like to keep my picks under wraps, only leaving them with people I trust...

bjrouse

It doesn't really phase me.
The noobs won't win based on who they select at the start.
Byes, when to get rid of the rookies, injuries, correct prem upgrades etc play a bigger part than the rd 1 team selection

cortez

To be honest i don't care who sees my team. No one will copy it exactly and if they copy it close I'm confident the players I've picked will be better than theres. Plus if you are so pathetic not to be able to pick a team for yourself what chance do you have of trading well when the season starts. Hardly any! So let the herald sun give out players and let people on here try get the best team possible. In the end the players you trade in and out will make or break your team.
