Guys I like the look of this guy for a cheap ruck option, in my opinion far more reliable than Fraser or Petrie. Scored well before injury last year. Thoughts?

Give him another couple of weeks before you decide, he could be very good

He has the possibility, but most of us got burnt last year so you wont get many positive responses I would think.

It will also depend on how Sydney handle thier two rucks (like all the teams) if the resting ruck goes forward now instead of the bench then both Seaby and Mummy could score well, both are a good mark and kick for goal...

+1 - couple more weeks'd be a good idea, definite consideration though - may be worth the punt

i heard mummy was injured, if so seaby is a great pick up imo

was unlucky with inj last year, was a break rather than soft tissue

my biggest concern is TOG, as i think mummy will be #1 when fit

DT 101. Both of your DT ruck positions should be filled with established #1 ruckmen.

#1 Ruckmen
Dean Cox
Aaron Sandilands
Patrick Ryder
David Hille (These two are an exception, they both seem to score well together)
Mark Jamar
Josh Fraser
Darren Jolly

In my mind, those guys are the only players worth considering for on field ruck positions. Or possibly Warnock or McEvoy if your planning on using a Bargain ruck theory. Beware of Petrie.

Mark Jamar is the best mid priced prospect along with Ben McEvoy. Jamar will be a top 5 ruckman by years end and McEvoy will cement his position as the Saints new #1. Warnock is another possibility if Kruezer doesnt recover quickly enough, he will also spend a portion of the season building fitness in the forward line.

Goldstein, Mackintosh and Petrie will all take TOG and points of each other. They should be avoided like the plague.

Leunburger, Clark and Charman (possibly) will battle it out for the #1 spot.

Mummy, Seaby and Pyke (possibly) are also in the same position.

The exception to the above three sets of ruckmen would be if one of the two primary rucks went down with injury, leaving the other to shoulder the bulk of the load (ie. Seaby and Mummy last year). Or if one emerged clearly dominant, in which case it would be simple enough to cash in either Warnock or McEvoy and upgrade to the rising star.
