thats a terrific point but i feel thats his more of a risk now, having sandi with just say ryder or jolly feels safer for me

freaks

Sandi and Cox, will both average great scores and saves me a trade

madskill55

cox is way underpriced and will increase his price rapidly and if he can stay fit he will easily average 95+, could even be an outside chance that he may outscore sandy but thats pushing it to the max... get on him boys and watch him soar and value. Stuff the injury risk, gotta take some risks, go hard and take some risks to win the car or go home, play safe and play the "what if i chose cox" game ;P

And what about Moran from Adelaide? Looked allright in NAB Cup

Is Moran a likely starter given Jacobs and Maric? and also K.Tippett for flexibility?

dominic17

im going with a bit of a risk, could pay off or backfire but what the hey. im going cox and jolly and leaving out sanyd. banking on cox to keep up with sandy. its been said griffin from the crows will be used to give sandy a rest and manage him a bit more this year so i think his scores might be down slighly. cos seems fit and ready to go so im on him and its amazing how much cash its freed up to upgrade other places! just food for thought. call me crazy

Tiggerfan

Yeah I don't know about Moran starting. He's played well in NAB Cup though. Maric is no world beater I reckon he's had his chances. And don't talk to me about Tippett.....Had him last year >: (Although he'd be perfect for the new sub rule...And Jacobs probably number one now at Adelaide

time will tell, i can always upgrade jolly to sandy after round 6 or whenever collingwoods bye is. or if its working ive saved a heap of money and had a better team overall

Dean Cox.......the forgotten one

I dont think he is forgotten.  Plenty will be on the Big Cox this year

so rude valkorum! stay premium! :P

i dont think people are jumping to conclusions with cox having some good form lately in the NAB. he has been a proven performer in recent history, and people on jumped off him when he was down with injury. he is now injury free (apparently) and fit and firing as shown by good preseason form. its not just a whim.

Cox... Unique!! He will never be unique, nor forgotten. If you want a unique ruckmen, go Mumford, Maric, etc.

on Cox, i don't know that the sub-rule will necessarily affect Sandi that much (ie they'll still rotate him thru the bench, same with Cox) but Cox can roam around a bit easier floating in both the fwd and back-lines when 'resting' and that could mean a bit more TOG if he's fit and firing??

and you know what that could mean ... more junk time and cheap possessions!   ;)

Fletch74

J, cheap possessions mean very little for SC remember. DT, yes, but not SC

i just mean in terms of an added bonus but i know what you mean.

Cox has always been a cheap possession getter in my mind, so i've stayed away from him for SC - but then i checked out his avgs over the years and his SC avg is actually slightly higher than his DT avg but i don't get why?? hit-outs maybe??

Certainly not forgotten. From what I have seen a lot have chosen him, with Sandi for the set and forget.

I did have Mummy but I just think Cox will be back this season.

Set and forget.. That's what I'll be doing too.. Wasted too many trades in past years on cheap ruckman ::)
