Gaff v Polec

both these lads are ment to be guns, but which one will be given more gametime and stand out the most?

Both should do very well. Both teams are in need for good young midfielders coming through and both should play quite a bit this year. Eagles needed midfielders (No Star quality mids besides Priddis and the former Kerr) while Lions have lost Brennan and Riska so replaced them with Green and Polec.

Both will get gametime for sure this season. Top 5 picks for good reason. Would have to look deeper into what type of midfielder they are. Outside midfielders are generally better at DT but wouldn't rule out insiders. Many would go Gaff but I have my eye on Polec also. Go for who you think will do better as they are rookies. Untried at AFL level = who knows which will be better at this stage.

haven't seen much of either at this stage obviously but i've got Gaff in my DT plan team and Polec in my SC plan team at the moment ... cos i heard Gaff as an accumulator and Polec as a clean/accurate kicker ...

wait until next week when polec plays. gaff wasnt stunning for west coast but he will get a lot of chances to prove himself.

The umpires were stunning for West Coast...gave them about 20 "Cheap" free-kicks *COUGH COUGH* Bs favouring *COUGH COUGH*

I'd prefer Shuey (My equal second favourite player, behind Juddy and equal with Stants) but dosen;t relly fit my structure.

Like j959 said, gaff is an accumulator, though he isnt particularly inside or outside, which makes him a bit more of an attractive option as he'll just hang around the play alot, especially with his engine. Polec is apparently all outside game, which usually means he wont recieve much ball unless his team is getting their hands on it, which doesnt look likely. Then again, Rockliff played outside mid role alot last year for some nice scores.

Id say Gaff would be better as the season gets on, and score more consistently, but Polec could be capable of some real good games.
Gaff over Polec for me.
But then again, im going with neither.
