If we all followed that logic Valk, then no one would have picked Jack Grimes last year...

I think he's a good pick if you're not interested in Adcock or Otten.

You do face the risk of the 'dreaded' 2 year blues. If you believe in that.

But I wouldn't write him off because he plays for West Coast.

I might consider swapping him for Drummond in SC. in DT could be a unique from the standard Adcock or Otten. From what I saw he played well on the weekend.

elephants

possibly, he could be good value but i will have him next year i reckon

If anyone watched the games, he was the main defender rebounding out of defence, though there was no Hurn. I was estatic how he played, was very smart with his disposals. Don't pick him up just yet, wait until rnd 2 of NAB when he performs with waters and hurn and if he becomes one of the main rebounding defenders. If he is 3rd string at rebounding then do not bother with him.

I think he will play the Wirra role in season proper, moping up deep. Waters and Hurn will play the rebounding role... But who knows really.

I'm pretty sure Shep will get midfield rotations  though. His skills are too classy not to.

ELLsendon

I believe he will play more of a full back role than half back
