how many guns/premiums should you start in backline

4? 3?
i have 4 atm ,but im leaning towards 3 as it will allow me to upgrade a 400k forward to a boomer/franklin type player

backline as it stands now
goddard/deledio/broughten/enright/adcock/otten/heppel

forwards
riewoldt/goodes/sylvia/higgens/krak/petrie/prestia

Hydra

I have (expected) 5 prems in backline:

Goddard, Enright, Broughton, Gilbee, Connors

and 4 prems in forwardline:

Chapman, N Riewoldt, Didak, Rioli

I only have 3 in the midfield, as well as a Liam Anthony, which has allowed me to have an extra one in the backline.

I have 2 prems for ruckmen (Sandilands, Mumford)

So 14 premiums + Liam Anthony for me. They recommend 13 premiums as a minimum to start the season.

thanks hydra :)

does that mean around rest of ground you have mid-cheap players and no really 400kish players/

roo boys!

I've got a pretty strong back line, but weaker forward line.

Here's my team:

Back: Goddard (633k), Broughton (479k), Enright (477k), Gilbee (456k), Connors (416k), Otten (185k), Heppell (153k)

Mid: Swan (617k), Boyd (517k), Gibbs (508k), Anthony (362k), D Swallow (188k), D Harris (125k)

Ruck: Sandilands (554k), Mumford (450k)

Forwards: Chapman (566k), Riewoldt (527k), Pavlich (483k, might change to Didak at 504k), Rioli (461k), Petrie (216k), Krakoeur (200k), Prestia (148k)

I actually only have 4 starting rookies. I've chosen some cheaper premiums (eg. Connors, Rioli) (like I haven't chosen Judd etc. and this has allowed me to afford more).

Hydra

No worries, happy to help. Good luck, there's a lot of potential out there this year!!

Mimicking is the finest form of flattery ;)

freezer

I think there is more value in mid priced FWDs so I am starting with more premiums in DEF. At the moment I have 5 premiums in my DEF counting guys like Malceski & Newman as premium players in their positions.

ben_ess94

thats my thoughts as welll

mid forwards are better and more choice then the mid prices backs

I'm presume therefore using this method, every players 400> is considered a premium?

lions(L)

yeah to be honest i wouldnt consider connors as a premium or mumford for that mater,
just my opinion tho.
