What is with Hille and Harvey's prices dropping after their zero rounds?

Has that always been the case if someone gets a zero but plays?

Its a joke, because the emergencies could step in and fill the place - but yet the prices still went down as if they played. Did they play or not?? Make up your mind.

Whats the deal?

they scored 0 mate!! they played and got injured if they had scored anything they would of been accredited with what they achieved. bit unlucky if u got both of those blokes

evawes1

Yeh, but an emergency could fill their spot! Thats not consistent with someone who played and scored zero. If you score zero - then you score zero, end of story. No emergency, and price drop.

Its a bit mixed up.

I only have Hille, but annoyed that his price dropped $40k, out of the easy price range of other rucks.

Oh, and I also lost Dalziell. So thats 2 this week.

Emergencies are replacements for players that didn't play! They both played they just got injured without scoring and seeing they played their prices freefall.

I have both and don't have an issue with it.

Where is the fairness if you get a replacement for Hille just because he got injured before getting a possession but if the same player takes that mark and still injures the knee on landing he doesn't. Some players occasionally score minuses - no replacement there either.

It's a shower hand to be dealt, but you've still got to play it

"Emergencies are replacements for players that didn't play!"

Exactly! He DID play, so no emergency should be allowed - but it was allowed for Hille (and Harvey I assume). If he got 1 point then no emergency.

I'm living with his price drop - i'll take it, thats fair because he played - but SC should have consistency across the board. Clearly they have a system that takes note of whether someone played or not - they used it to work out Hille/Harvey's new prices - so why can't they use that when allowing an emergency or not?

The emergency system takes no notice of whether the player played or not. Thats not fair when the price system does.

Either he played or he didnt. Can't have it both ways. I don't care if its a shower hand - this isn't 'life', its a game with rules. I think they should be consistent rules.

so your saying that u got the points added to ur score from emergancies due to the zero from Hille????  that can't be right - as the other bloke said u get minus if its the case. and hille played the game and scored zero.
lol try telling croady that he didn't play in a grand final!!!
na u must be seeing it wrong mate.

Torress

might be a glitch??  because everytime i open up that page to see updated scores via ''league'' , it never says what bartel has scored. it always comes up with d.rich twice instead but the score is spot on. bit annoying but something similar might of went down with ur situation, i don't know. anyway suck it up!!

*I* didnt get any points for emergencies, because I didnt have any ruck emergencies listed ;) so i scored zero.

But my opponent had Hille, and DID get points from their emergency. They had Tippett on the bench, and it used Tippett's score. I saw it, and didnt like it lol.

evawes1

Did anyone have Hille, and had an emergency ruck listed (that scored points) and didn't have their emergency score added to the final tally?

Bo

If you read the rules, emergencies are replacements for any non scoring player. a -1 is a score, a +1 is a score, a zero is not a score. Thems the rules. Prices always change if a player plays. I was lucky to have a nice 78 from Mitchell Brown to cover Boomer, which kept my score half decent. Take yer beats and move on.

evawes1

Yep, ok. I think the emergency system is flawed because of this - but now its all sorted.

Torress

fair dinkum, if u score a zero an emergancy can still replace that??
thats crap!!

sorry 4 my previous posts i was under the impression that if u score zero, thats wat u get he played and didn't get a touch (or injured), thats rubbish how can a minus 1 be a score if zero is not a score.. bloody shambles!!!!

evawes1

Yeah its a bit rubbish - good for those that had these guys, but not for everyone else, and not good for consistency/fairness.

But thats how it is, its in the rules. Sheedy actually mentioned this in his recent Super Footy article, and that itll be looked at next season. Pff, next!
