It may seem that way, but we have seen all that Sylvia can do IMO, Higgins has so much more potential.
i believe we have only seen half of it!

Comes back from injury and gets 8 Brownlow votes in 3 games (2 in a 30 pt loss)... Has had a full pre season and will start in the Midfield every week of 2011... will have allot to do with were Melb finish on the ladder this year

"Sylvia, who boasts all the weapons to be the Demons' No.1 player, polled 10 votes in the Brownlow Medal last year despite playing only 15 games because of a broken jaw and a toe injury.

And, with no signs of the osteitis pubis that dogged his first four years at the club, Sylvia will be a key player in the Demons' campaign this year".

Hes ready to rip it apart... i wonder were Higgins would be from the Dogs best player and down,, don't get me wrong hes a great player!!!! i would say about 6th.

This bloke could be a BL medallist!

Don't miss the boat people, haha hope i don't eat my words  :-X

I can say the Dogs rely on a combination of players instead of a handful :P
Higgins is a star, injury is really his only issue, and we can say the same thing about Sylvia really.

Also, once Slyvia was up and running he had a very good season, and it would be hard for him to do better, only averaged 88.
More of a DT player IMO, although I'm willing to be proven wrong and Sylvia has been in and out of my team ;)

On a side note, i really believe if Melb can win enough games to finish inside the top 8... say 7th on the ladder that he could pull a Judd of 2010... imo Scully will be a ball tearer this year too and will be the man to steal some votes off him but there really will be no one else!

YEs would take allot of luck but can do it!

I have backed him to do so too... pineapple for 9k if he does

You almost had me convinced, then I saw this run of scores -
   51   54   30   84   89   75
Then I saw he has never played over 20 games in a season.
I'm not touching him :P

what about the ass end of the season.. you looking at the wrong side  ;)

Chapman has only played 22 games a year 3 times out of 10... allot missed the boat last year on the same thinking (including me)

Melb will be a so better side this year and in turn Sylvia will be better too.

but its all a risk at the end of the day

This page sums it up pretty well imo
