Summary:

When Ben Griffiths was drafted by Richmond as a second round draft pick in 2009 there was much expected of him from long suffering Tigers supporters hoping for a new Richo.  These huge expectations were not quite lived up to by the young forward however there were some promising signs before a shoulder injury prematurely ended his season in round 15 against Fremantle. An interesting fact abut Griffiths was that in all five games that he played in Richmond won. This could be seen merely as lucky but as a Richmond supporter i felt that while he was playing Richmonds forward line looked much more threatening with two tall forwards mainly due to the fact that all the oppositions defence wasn't focused on Riewoldt. This is why i believe that Griffiths if fit will be a huge part of Richmonds plans for 2011.

The Crystal Ball:

Based on last year's magic number

Price: $136,500
Position: FWD

Decision:

I believe that if Ben Griffiths overcomes his persistent shoulder injuries that held him back in 2010 he could be a handy forward bench option. The only thing that troubles me is Brad Millers recent inclusion to the Richmond side. I think that Richmond will continue there focus on youth next year with Griffiths being a big part of there plans.

I will definitely consider Griffiths in 2011.

Will you select Ben Griffiths in 2011?

Definite no for me but good write up...

Hmmm, he is very cheap! He's worth a short list. Didn't score well though in those 5 games.

And yeah, very good write up btw :)

Because of circumstances I'd rather forget, I had him for those 5 games last year.  He was very tentative in his play and too easily brushed aside when  pressured. Although he showed some "natural ability" he really needs to build his body up and would be way down the list right now for me.

I don't think he could squeeze into my squad. too many others with better potential in front of him.

Nice write up ;)

Junktimer

no from me.

nice write up btw from a nobody!  total tiger starts with a bang!
