Summary:

Not to be confused with the Melbourne Jack Trengove that debuted in the same year, Jackson was a highly rated debutant for the Power in 2010. At 197cm, Trengove was rotated through defence and as ruck support. A real strong key-position prospect, who took some time to establish himself in Port's line-up, playing the first four matches, before being dropped for a couple, and returning in round 7 to play all but one match for the rest of the year.

SC potential was limited though, a high score of 97 in Round 20, and 9 scores under 50, means he did not gain as much value as people would have hoped, but proved a valuable emergency ruck when required.

Trengove received a rising star nomination, and Port Adelaide have recently voted him into their leadership group. That says a lot about a second year player.

The Crystal Ball:

Based on last year's magic number
Price: $279,200

Based on m0nty's fanplanner
Price: $265,900

Position: DEF/RUC

With Brogan reaching the end of his shelf-life and with Trengove being added to the leadership group at Port, I imagine him will play most games. Port Adelaide obviously feel he is in their best 22, and the axing of Cameron Cloke limits competition. Matthew Lobbe may challenge.

Yes, he will most likely be a MPP but probably a useless one. At the moment, only Kepler Bradley looks like another DEF/RUC option, so the MPP is useless unless you select both of them. And Kepler's expensive.

Decision:

He is an unlikely choice. He is reasonably cheap, and could provide some stability as 3rd ruckmen perhaps, but I don't see that much value in him.

Won't go near him. There are better choices for that 3rd/4th ruck position

Boomz

He would need to set the world on fire in the NAB cup...

He was handy this season, scoring generally (and at least playing) more than the hack Warnock, but highly unlikely at this coming season's price.

still young and got plenty of time to develop so no for me

Justin Bieber

Gave him an unlikely. A KPP is never good but a rotating ruck could do well. More time on ball = more chances to get possessions.

Although at an awkward price, I really like him. But doubt I'll go with him next season :(.

Junktimer

no, had him this year, he will take time.
