Lindsay Gilbee

2010 Stats
Games: 22
Total Score: 2065 (Ranked 39th overall, 34th amongst midfielders, 6th amongst defenders)
Average Score: 93.86 (Ranked 57th overall, 42nd amongst midfielders, 13th amongst defenders)
High: 153 (Round 6)
Low: 44 (Round 7)
Standard Deviation: 31.09
Centuries: 9 out of 22
Starting Price: $453,500
High Price: $531,400 (round 6)
Low Price: $346,500 (round 22)

Summary:

Gilbee started the year off with a bang, averaging 106.6 across the first 9 rounds with 6 centuries, before averaging 85.0 across the remaining 13 rounds - which is still acceptable for a defender, especially one with MPP capabilities. He had a particular dry patch between rounds 17-21 - the business end of the season - averaging only 64.

Here's an interesting stat - there is a slight negative correlation between Gilbee scoring goals and his supercoach score. What does that mean? It means the more goals Gilbee gets, his supercoach score overall is less. Probably suggests that Gilbee isn't that effective as a forward.

The Crystal Ball:

Based on last year's magic number
Price: $498,500

Based on m0nty's fanplanner
Price: $474,700

Position: MID/DEF

Should still keep MPP status coming out of defence and averaging 21.45 disposals a match, and I would expect similar inconsistent scores from Gilbee in the coming year.

Decision:

His price is just a little too high for my liking at the moment, but could provide handy flexibility in your backline. Is capable of scoring big (three 140+ scores this year), but can go missing when you need him most. Touch and go for me.

Fletch74

Interesting stat with the correlation Ossie.

Too high for me at that price, especially with that inconsistency. Will put him down as an upgrade target for later when he drops in price. Other more consistent players who could be used for MPP to start the season off.

DazBurg

unlikely for me might upgrade to him but defiantly won't start for me

both doing great work Ossie and Fletch

BoredSaint

on the short list.. but only cause of his big scores

Maca24

yea unlikely for me atm. there are other premiums i have my eye on.
but hope i can get either him or Lake in later on.

Boomz

Unlikely for me he's not in my good books after he burnt me late...

supercoach addict

Yeah very inconsistent. Also looks like Hargrave was starting to take some of his points away late in the year.

MajorLazer

Don't think I'll get him, but might if the bulldogs play well next year.
