Brett Burton will join Brisbane Lions next season as 'Physical Performance Manager' after accepting the role earlier today.
In a role similar to Stephen Schwerdt at the Crows, Burton will take his sports science background and qualifications north.

Good luck Birdman  ;D

SCADDICT

They'll probably just hound him for advice on taking hangers

Seems odd getting an injury prone player as a 'physical performance manager'...

lol ossie

i think he is fit, might just be a little injury prone in terms of muscles but could be a good prospect

SCADDICT

Too young to know what he was like in his heyday , but apparently he was one of the fittest players going around.

Boomz

He will be good at it I reckon...

He still holds onto the sport science orientated training facility at AAMI, something he says will be left in control of others but still run from afar.
