Bryce Retzlaff

Summary:

Retzlaff is yet to make his AFL debut, probably because of an injury at the start of the season. Dominated the lower levels towards the end with a heap of goals, and was reportedly close to selection. A key-position player with great potential

The Crystal Ball:

Based on m0nty's fanplanner

Price: $87,500

Position: DEF/FWD or FWD

What makes Retzlaff attractive is his MPP status. I would think it very likely he will make his debut at some point next year, especially if Fev doesn't play again.

However, he played forward for a large part of the year in the QAFL I'm told, so it is quite possible he could only be a forward next year.

m0nty has him listed at $87,500. Last year he started at $84,200 with a higher magic number, so I think he could actually be cheaper. Potential bargain either way and won't make much difference.

Decision:

If he is a MPP he is almost a lock, if plays ok in the preseason he is a lock. Someone to watch out for, but I like the look of him.

The worry here is the name. Is he going to be like Bryce Gibbs and be a downhill skiier?

Regardless of stats I have a moral objection to including such players on my list.
