Summary:

Jude Bolton is a very unique midfielder from the Swans. He finished the SC season with only 4,318 fantasy coaches. Bolton hasn’t missed a game since 2005, and has averaged above 95 in the last 6 seasons.

He had an absolute blinder in Round 11 in which he picked up 193 SC points, which included 36 possessions and 12 tackles.

The Crystal Ball:

Based on last year's magic number
Price: $537,600

Based on m0nty's fanplanner
Price: $511,900

Position: MID

Was a little surprised with Bolton’s SD score of 34, but that is due to his 193 and 157 that he scored this year. He has been a very consistent player in the past few years.

He’s a very unique midfielder who likes to tackle; he needs to improve a little on the goal kicking front. Definitely more of a SC specialist, but continues to slip under the radar.

Decision:

I will put Bolton on my short list due to the fact that he is unique, and will most likely play every game. He is very reliable.

The only concern I have is that he doesn’t seem to have much upside, with his highest average being 105 in 2007. Will Longmuir change Sydney’s game plan enough for Bolton to have an upside?

I like Jude Bolton. Think if he played for a Melbourne side the media would be all over him.

There are a series of players in line to be my 3rd midfielder - and I would like it to be unique - so Jude is on the radar.

More likely an upgrade target though.

I can't see him having a stinker season though, which gives some confidence.

He's a great player and will never let you down(well, almost never). Just a bit worried that he's in his 30's now and the two young guns are coming on strong ie Jack and Hanneberry.  If Goodes spends more time in the mid this year, as some people predict, Bolton's disposal count and hence his scores may suffer.  I'll be keeping an eye on him as a unique upgrade target.
