BGK

This is one of the worst teams ive seen.

Too much money in the Backs, try either Otten or Houli, if not both for Gilbee and IMO Gilbert. But he is just my opinion. Try and get Goddard if you can find a way to squeeze him in.

Midfield is terrible. You need someone who will average 110+. Get Swanny. If your going to pick Rawlings or Green pick them in the backs and forwards.

Zac smith on the bench for the rucks. Try to get Sandi, he doesnt have any byes in the fantasy season and we all know what kind of scores he can put up.

Get Petrie into the forwards. too expensive to be on the bench in the rucks, IMO swap him for Sylvia. Rest of the forwards look ok.

The Beaver

Thanks for the feedback BGK.  I guess i was looking at the ctrs as possible growth players (cash cows) , hence the reason for heavy bacs and fwds.  Take a bit of a hit early in the season and trade up to premiums later in the season (Swan, Goddard, etc).

I dont know that ottens will do that well this year. Definitely need to look at getting sandilands into the ruck though!

agree with BGK about ur expensive backs and the need for Swan or Boyd or Joey
youve obviously done a bit of research on your rookies but me personally wouldnt go with 4 in your mids without a gun player
Ive gone with 3 rookies starting with Swan and Joey as premiums and Anthony as a cheapie
surely u cant have rucks like Jamar and Luenbueger, is your plan to do 3 or more trades in your rucks??
also Johncock isnt the best DTer anymore there are far better/cheaper options out there

LewisR

the forwards look good but the rest of the team is pretty bad.  the rookies seem okay too.

Backs
swap Gilbert to Goddard
choose one of Broughton or Duffield and downgrade the other to a cheap/rookie option to limit your Freo exposure (even though byes not affecting league games for Freo)
Johncock (though getting old) and Gilbee are fine but you’re top heavy in your backs and might want to downgrade to cheap/rookie or even a mid-pricer (but you may be a “no mid-pricer” person which I can understand), so you can spread money into your mid/ruck

Mids
agree with the others, you need a Swan/Boyd/Goddard type there to anchor your midfield. Don’t have a problem with you having 4 rookies if you want. Rawlings had a good 2010 but not sure he’ll do as good again and maybe better in the backline. Similar with Green, better to upgrade him as well esp if you want your 4 rookie mids

Rucks
Leuenberger just isn’t Sandi/Jolly/Cox â€" you might as well have Petrie as your main ruck if you’re trying to save cash. Actually, I think I see what you’re trying to do with having 2 middle of the road rucks as your ‘set and forget’ option to save money, but you might be giving up 10-15pts for each of them to your opponent’s ruck division each game

Fwds
No issues except Jack Riewoldt was on the up this year, but my concerns would be (for DT anyway) is that he’s a KPP and might be a risky mid-pricer when better cheap options like Petterd or even Petrie into your fwds instead of ruck are available instead if you don’t want another rookie

I'd give this team a 6/10 - I don't think it's quite as bad as it looks at first. However you really need to strengthen your midfield and rucks and get a decent captain choice. You've also wasted too much money on the bench that could be better used on the starting 22 - you can save money on the bench by getting some of the best sub-$100k options like Mzungu, Matera and Zac Smith.

i just don't understand johncock?! he is old and there are issues.
can see him getting dropped a few times this year.
