Summary:

Heath Scotland seems to be slowly declining in his averages for Sc over the years. Whilst he did improve slightly on 2009, his average is till significantly down since 2006 and 2007 when he averaged over 100 in both of those two seasons.

The Crystal Ball:

Based on last year's magic number
Price: $503,600

Based on m0nty's fanplanner
Price: $479,500

Position: DEF

Scotland is a very consistent performer, but he seems to be on the decline. As mentioned above his averages have slowly declined, plus his kick to handball ratio has noticeably gone down a lot as well in the last couple of years.

Scotland will turn 31 next July, and his role amongst the youth at Carlton is obviously starting to reduce.

Decision:

Despite Scotland ranking 5th in defenders for SC scores, I think he will not be a favourite of many fantasy coaches.

Next year I think his contribution towards what Carlton has to offer will continue to decline, unfortunately for SC coaches. The next generation of Carlton players will begin to step up, and whilst Scotland may still perhaps reach the 90’s average, he will slowly begin to slip from that premium status that we know he was a few years ago.

Couldn't agree more Fletch!

Scotland is a traitor, and will be treated as such :)

Seriously though, he does merit some thought, especially in the unlikely event Carlton get on a roll.

Barlow 21

Justin Bieber

Shortlisted but doubt it with other choices available.

His age is concerning but also that he is more suited to the DT game.

BratPack

Pass. There are better options out there

Boomz

No thank you :) too old & his scoring will go down because of it.
