Well, maybe not so much next year as the bye will probably reduce the how relevant this is but....

It would be great to see how the team you had in each round would have scored for every round of the year (if that makes any sense).

It would be interesting to see how trades effected your team and how beneficial changes were. Probably doesn't help you but interesting none the less. You could compare different teams with the graphing tools that SC has.

Would be interesting. What your starting team would score every round if you hadn't traded.

The team changes alot during the year so will be hard to do it for every little change made to the team.

It wouldn't really be that hard. All the data necessary to calculate it is already in the SC database. They just have to write a simple interface for it, most of which already exists and just requires some adjustment.

Doing it by hand would be a pain and although I am interested, I don't have the inclination or spare time to do it this way.

I've got a program which does something similar to what you want. No fancy graphs or charts or anything, just the player/team scores for a particular team in a particular round.

Here's a link to a couple of screenshots. If there's any interest then I might be able to make it available for next year - it's got heaps of bugs which would take a while to fix in my (limited) spare time.

That would be great if you could. I know how lack of spare time can limit work on pet projects. Just curious, where do you get your data from?

For Supercoach the player stats that you see are from the AFL match centre and the supercoach scores (the FP column in the screenshots) are scraped for each player in the team - http://supercoach.heraldsun.com.au/?p=researchmini&pid=575 is Goddard for example.

That looks like a great program Glen, i have my data on a spreadsheet and its a pain when i trade players because i have calculated all averages etc, am very interested if you do make it available.  :)

I'll see what I can do for next year as I'm currently busy (in my spare time) writing some programs for the upcoming NFL season - as well as looking after all my AFL fantasy teams (DT, DT Pro, SC, Virtual Sports, Yahoo, Sportsbet, Fox Sports Fantasy, Ultimate Footy and a few others).

By the way, the program also handles most of those comps and does 'live' score tracking for your teams and opponent teams and estimates of your team total - during matches as well - based on player averages. Can only estimate SC and Fox during a game but gives you a reasonable feel of how your team is doing.
