A year ago today, fantasy coaches were in mourning.

The first week of finals were fast approaching.

Oh, what's that? Wonderkid Jack Grimes isn't playing? Ah well, I still have cover. Hmmm? Chappy's gone? Well, I kinda expected so, so I'll deal.

Oh, Lovett, Ballantyne, Ellis and Higgins aren't playing either?? Well, this is getting critical. I wish Dean Cox was back :(

GODDARD! GILBERT! Gone!! And a hundred other Saints I cared less about cos they weren't on my team. ZOMG!!

After weeks, days and hours of studying player form, it was all coming apart in the first week of the finals. I was devastated, filled with despair and ready to smash Ross Lyon's head in.

Oh, Stevie J scores 4 points in my SC team? Brilliant stuff Stevie J!!


My favourite quote was my friend saying he'll be ok that Chappy's out, cos he has Taylor Walker cover for him in SC. Walker went on to score NEGATIVE 6.
