Stick Reckon Maric will be ahead of him. Had a very solid year this year and would be a shame to be pushed out.

Maybe both will play with the other spending time up forward? Thats a win-win situation for the Crows as both will keep developing 8).

Dont know that they can afford to have 4 tall forwards with 2 of them both capable of playing in the ruck (Tippett/Jacobs/Maric/Walker)

Maric played solely ruck this year. Tippett almost always up forward. Walker is able to play off half forward as he has decent agility. He won't play ruck anytime soon. This opens up a spot for back up ruck in which Jacobs can slip in if they need.

However, 3 talls up forward can push the defence a bit when it comes to marking contests.

Carlton did push for pick 14, Crows wouldn't budge.

Jacobs said on radio today "I would have definately nominated for the draft if the deal couldn't be struck" further commenting "the Crows weren't going to use pick 67 "

Essentially Crows have got him then for pick 33  :)

Jacobs was a good pick up for them showed good signs for Carlton and with Adelaide not really having a locked in ruckman could be very handy for them
