The Final Trades ......... suggestions please

With only 4 trades left and $1600 in the bank my thinking is that I need to downgrade 2 players in order to get 2 prems.

Team: -

Def: Duffman, Hodge, Goddard, Waters, Enright, Shaw, Sheppard. Bench Grimes (1-2 weeks), Strijk

Possibility here this week is to downgrade Sheppard to A.Smith. Thoughts please? ($225k in the bank).

Mids: GAJ, Swan, Gibbs, Cooney, Simpson, Joey. Bench Danger, L.Stevenson.

Good cover on the bench but too many $$$$$ wasted. Danger has M.P.P. so think I will keep him. Stevenson has low b/e this week, so won't pull the trigger this week ;) ($180k in the bank)

Rucks: Sandi, Cox. Bench Warnock, D. Currie

No cover on the bench, but happy with the 2 rucks I have. Possibly downgrade Warnock to $83k noob. ($130K in the bank)

Fwds: Goodes, Rioli, ROK, PODS, Boomer, Rockliff, Fyfe. Bench Stevie J (RD 17 Available), Peterson

With Stevie J back I will have Fyfe and Peterson on the bench, too many $$$$. Also given that I have MPP with Danger either can go. Probably Fyfe for the extra $$$$$. Thinking downgrade to R. Tarrant ($180K in the bank)

Do the Shepperd and Fyfe downgrades and upgrade Waters to Lake and Peterson to Buddy...

This being said, I wouldn't be wasting your trades now if you are firmly entrenched in the top 8!

I am currently sitting 5th with 9 wins. Top 8 looks like this

1st - 44points
2nd - 44points
3rd - 36 points
4th - 36points
5th - 36points
6 - 8th - 32 points

This week I play 6th which is no gimmie and the last game is an easy one against 16th. Probably the team in 2nd is the strongest team so hope not to finish 3rd. ;)

4 trades in the bag for finals if you scrape in would be mighty handy!

I made a small error before. It is now updated with %

1st - 44 points
2nd - 44points
3rd - 40 points - 107.13%
4th - 36 points - 111.73%
5th - 36 points - 109.85%
6th - 36 points - 101.37%
7 - 8th - 32 points
9th - 24 points

To me it looks like I am guaranteed a finals berth and my percentage is ok. ;)

RD 17

7th vs 3rd - tip 7th to win
5th vs 8th - fairly confident I can get up

RD 18

6th vs 8th
7th vs 4th
5th vs 16th - 4 points in the bag ;D

I could loose top 4 overall if I don't win this week. What do ya think ?

At this stage I reckon you need to estimate what your opponents in the top 8 are likely to do...i.e do you think they have any trades left?

If you think they don't, as long as you are going to make the finals...you have the upper hand having 4 trades in the barrel and can pick up the inform players...

If you feel the need to make a trade get Smith in for Sheppard and bank the cash! Don't think you're missing the boat on tarrent either, you can downgrade fyfe next week for McNeil from Sydney and because you have danger he can cover any doughnuts for the mids and forwards using MPP with McNeil....

Nice advice Jas. I am thinking of trading Smith to Sheppard this week (3 trades left $225K in the bank). RD18 - No trades. Hoping to make top 4 so RD 19 Waters to Lake if I have enough cash :-\ (approx $580k) - WIN ;D
Rd 20 - No Game
RD 21 - Downgrade Fyfe to ??? (83k noob) - WIN ;D
RD 22 - Upgrade forward to Buddy, PAV or Roo ???. Depends who is flying!
