I see a lot of you are writing Geelong off because we lost to Adelaide. I just have a few things to say.
It's no disgrace losing to Adelaide over there. It's harder to win in Adelaide than practically anywhere else.
Thats our first interstate loss for about a million years.
Geelong are an older team, so whats Hawthorns excuse?
Geelong are gradually getting their A grade list back together for the first time this year. (Just Stevie J and Rookie to go)
IF the Cats win the first Qualifying final, (assuming they finish in the top 4, I take nothing for granted) and have no injury concerns, they WILL win the premiership.
Why........because they are the hardest team going and won't crack under the pressure of the finals. We have some of the mentally toughest players in the league.
NYAR :P
By the way, exactly what has changed from last year....the same 4 teams will probably end up on top.

Gotta agree for the most part bunyip. Geelong are still the favourites for the flag.

But Collingwood and St. Kilda can beat Geelong if the dice role the right way. If that day is September, and a decent chance you'll have to beat both, you never know.

Geelong is the LAST team you would want to play in a prelim. As I said, a weeks rest and no injury concerns, you would have to kill another one of our doctors.

Actually Freo beat us over there this year to, sorry.

Still my favourite for the flag. DONT WRITE THEM OFF!

yep it will be back to back for cats

Hope so, but what with the evenness this year it wouldn't take much to tip the scales one way or the other. All the top teams have proven ability to absorb injuries, and there's no denying the form side at the moment is the Pies. I think this will be one of the truly great final series. Lots of close games.
