Il start buy saying i barely follow the Super rugby comp, il watch the wallabies though

This has been a big issue ever since the rugby board(sanzaar or something like that) bought in a Japanese and Argentinian team
just one year after expanding they want to compact the league again! what a farce
The ARU have been told to cut one of the force and rebels, but it is just not fair
The force are followed by a mainly small but passionate fan base, everyone in WA and rallying around them, even there premier
The Rebels are privately owned, imagine spending millions on a club for the ARU to say nah we dont need you in the comp anymore, and if a competition wants to be successful you need a team in Melbourne.

Australian rugby does not need South Africa or Argentina
Clearly we do not have enough union support for our own professional league but why not put the current Aus clubs and the NZ clubs together, add Japan and one more Kiwi team and theirs 12 teams with 2 conferences, Its hard to follow a club when they play in South Africa every few weeks
I like Japan because of the whole Asia deal

Im just rambling here, and i know very little on domestic rugby but i just thought id pen my thoughts :P

I'm a Force man, although I haven't seen them play live since 2009. The brutal reality is that it won't be the Rebels because of privatisation, and we'll be the ones to get the chop. Rugby Union is in a very sorry state in Australia, and I doubt this decision will do much to revert that unless some more drastic change occurs.

Like most follow union with a cursory glance.

SANZAR in their wisdom as Hawka said brought in teams from Argentina and Japan. Neither of these teams have set the world on fire. So Sanzar in their wisdom now want to revert back to a 15 Super Rugby team with 3 conferences of 5
New Zealand Conference
Blues, Chiefs, Crusaders, Highlanders, Hurricanes

Australian Conference
Four Australian teams (TBC), Sunwolves

South Africa Conference
Four South Africa teams (TBC), Jaguares

So wtf do we have a Japanese team in the Australian Conference and an Argentinian team in the South African Conference. "Bleep" Joke if you ask me. Supposed to make the competition stronger haha.

Expect some court challenges given the Force have a signed agreement guaranteeing participation to 2020.
