I'm starting to get a bit worried about Geelongs injury list. Some of our injured players seem to take forever to get better. Corey and Rooke for eg. Ottens and Hawkins. Taylor will still be sore. I have this terrible feeling that the Hawks are gonna kick our arse. Just like the Saints did.

They've been cautious of injuries ever since that first Premiership win. Don't want to rush players back. Want to make sure they're 100%.

Wrong again :)
Hopefully no injuries or reports from this game.

Did Corey pull up sore or something? At least you have some talented youngsters coming through the ranks to replace.

bunyip

talented....yes. Future champions....dunno. Geelongs immediate future lies with Hawkins, Varcoe, Taylor, Byrnes etc.
As for Corey, yes he pulled up a bit sore and they decided not to risk him.

Harry Taylor will be a superstar, but I'm yet to be convinced by Hawkins, Varcoe or Byrnes - easier to look good when your surrounded by greats. They very well maybe stars, just not certain.

Only time will tell.

I agree with Hawkins, Varcoe and Byrnes.  They could be Des Headlands - Average players surrounded by great players.

Des looked awesome when he was at Brisbane and has done sweet FA since joining Freo.

varcoe only needs to go up 10% in his game

he ran down that spud franklin on the weekend with blistering closing speed

They all have their moments. Stokesy is not a match winner, but he made a difference Saturday. Sometimes things fall into place for them and they can take advantage of it because they are good enough.
One thing though, Geelong seem to be able to cover their injured players. It was a great effort on Saturday.
