The Adelaide teams were having a bit of a go also & would have hurt not getting him. Seeing him sign shows good team loyalty from him.

The 4 year contract length was suprising.  It is most likely loaded in the last 2 years when he will be veteran listed so as to not affect the salary cap as much.
