How Many Trades And Opinion

Looking to complete my team, but how many Trades should be reserved fro LTI and Finals?

Team Is:

Hodge, Enright, Eski, Hurn, Duffield, Waters, Maguire
Silvagni, Webberly

Ablett, Selwood, Dal Santo, Gibbs, Mitchell, Barlow
Howlett, JKT

Sandilands, Cox

Trengove, Skipper

Pavlich, ROK, Brown, GIa, STeve J, Pods, Gray
Rockliff, Hitchcock

8 trades/31k

THinking about Howlett to Gysberts then Gray to Chappy and Maguire to Gilbbe

However will also have to trade Rockliff in a few weeks to cheapo then Waters to Goddard.

WOuld leave me with 3 trades for finals, is that enough?

mmmm........ No. Not really. You should probably try to have at the very least 4, but ideally more like 6 for finals.

Going for league win? If so, where are you sitting on the ladder now? could hold of trades and keep them for finals if you are safely in the 8.

Is safely in the eight enough? or should you be pushing for fourth with a double chance? i don't really know as it's my first year....

Leagues are 1st, 10th and 9th

Ranked about 20k and wouldnt mind getting in top 15

Say 3-4 trades for finals and 1-2 trades for LTI's you have a couple of trades to use to upgrade to prem! Wouldn't use any more then 2 tops

Top 4 does get you a double chance, but many prefer to keep trades to blitz opponents. Can go out in straight sets if you aren't careful enough.

3 trades left for league might not be enough but are bringing in a few big guns. Fighting for top 8 in 2 leagues could make you trade now just to make it.

Reckon could hold onto Maguire as he is scoring 80+ most weeks and you have cover in Webbs playing. Could give you an extra trade in hand come finals?

Well Goddard is needed then chappy and gilbee could be luxury trades?

The way Rockliff and Waters are scoring I wouldn't be thinking about trading them for a while - much more money to be made from them.  Rule 1 of DT: don't trade unnecessarily.

3 trades isn't enough for finals as any upgrade usually requires 2 trades (bench player to a rookie to get the cash, then use the cash to finance the upgrade).  Save as many trades as you possibly can (unless you need to do the upgrades to make the final in the first place!)
