With 16 trades left I've decided I need to upgrade my midfield or forward line. Currently I have Swan, Bartel and Vince as premium mids with Barlow, Trengove and Scully as my younger players (with Martin and Shuey on the pine).

Trengove may increase a bit more but his BE is steadily on the rise. Hayes is probably as low as he is going to get and currently with only three premium mids an upgrade seems good. To do this I need to make some money and the only two ways of doing this are:

Martin to Stevenson

or

Dangerfield to Hughes (or Jaensch)

Thoughts?

roo boys!

A fourth premium mid would be a lot better I think. As to who to downgrade, are all of them playing?

Martin will make you $$$, Hughes was impressive.

I think Dangerfield is probably the best downgrade option...just wish I could get Stevenson for him. I've held onto danger for this long but I'm not confident he can produce many big scores, particularly the way Adelaide is traveling. Add to that his proneness to injuries...

Craig hasn't been using Dangerfield in the midfield as much as everyone thought he would. The only game where Danger scored in the 90s was when he kicked 4 or 5 last quarter goals.

However, as the season unfolds and the Crows lose any hope of a finals berth (that will be soon, I'm sure), Danger will probably get more midfield time and improve his scoring a lot.

Still a risk, but perhaps a calculated one.

i agree, if you have held dangerfield for this long the cut and run approach is probably not the best option
