I know we've talked about Mr. Ablett ad infinitum ... but do we apply the same reasoning to Mr Hodge? Of course, we're assuming someone who would consider spending $635k on one player already has Ablett. So given GA would be captain, is this too much to pay for Hodge given he probably wouldn't get the captain's guernsey?

It's not the same with hodge. he is carrying injuries and will break down at some point. plus even when he does play he won't score as consistently as Gablett. I'll be picking him up later if he drops. if not i'm happy spending the dollars on goddard and enright at 100k cheaper!

bottom line, Ablett and Cox are the only two who I would say 'money is no object'.

The trouble is, believe it or not I have $650k left over for a final backline spot. So Hodge fits, but he very expensive and is bound to drop in price at some point, as you say. He only played 17 games last season as well. But you wouldn't miss having him in your team if there was no such thing as money.

hodge is as good as player as ablett, so why not. he has scored 130 over a season, and can bust out those scores. but his injury interrupted counter against hodge. goddard/gilbee are better money wise.

Goddard, gilbee and the like and save the money

Had him last year and was my favorite player last year.
As much as it pains me I'm going to pass on Hodge. His price tag is just so large. With Cox and Ablett already locked in as MUST 600k+. I can't find a spot for him. Although I have close to no doubt that he will average 120 and won't drop to 550k this season.
If he does though. JUMP THE HELL ON.
