Log in to afl dreamteam.
Go to Rankings tab
Type your team name in the text box and click research (this will load up your team in list)
Open your team in a new window/tab

Check the URL should look something like

http://afl.virtualsports.com.au/?p=other_teams&tid=6674&lid=1

There is your team ID
