Round 3

IMPORTANT NOTE - PLEASE READ

AFL teams will be announcing their teams at 6:20pm AEST on Thursday (Wednesday for Thursday night games)
Sunday teams are confirmed at 5pm AEST on Friday (Saturday for Monday games)

We WILL be using a partial lockout, please read the rule below.

You are encouraged to name your full team at the start of the round and edit accordingly as teams drop each day. I understand this is not possible for everyone, hence why it would be preferred that people name their full team to begin with.

If you make any edits to your team, please do so in a new 'quote' post.

There is no loopholing allowed in ADT

- With Thursday games to start the year, you can name six (6) emergencies.

- In the event a coach either submits an incomplete team or fails to submit a team at all without contacting the admin, they will receive a warning/strike and their submission from last week will be used. Penalties for this can be found in the rules post (no sacking coaches because we barely have enough as is).

Thursday night PARTIAL LOCKOUT at 7.20pm AEST
Friday night FULL LOCKOUT at 7.50pm AEST

Round 3

Sharks Flailing, Libba Feasts
Washington Senators (1672) defeat Bermuda Tiger Sharks (1476)

Bermuda continue to struggle early doors with a floundering forward line and a few missing personnel, with not one forward scoring over 46. While you can win premierships in worlds this way, it doesn't work out like that in ADT sadly. It's only round 3, but Bermuda could be back on its way to the bottom echelon of the ladder if something doesn't change soon. For Washington it's a nice bounce back as a lack of Gawn proves no issue with Witts and Blitz carrying the load, setting up Libba and Cripps in the midfield.

No LDU Shatters Calgary
Calgary Fireflies (1499) defeated by Arizona Scorpions (1682)

LDU was a very late out against Hawthorn and this unsettled the Fireflies it would seem. Three scores in the 20's isn't exactly great, even if Witherden got injured. But no LDU means a new VC, and it was Harry Sheezel who stepped up comfortably to be among the best for Calgary, he'd probably be winning the rising star if I was doing that this year, so good on him. For Arizona, it was another lack-lustre performance really, as they get lucky with their opposition being off on the day. Sicily continues to play a lone hand down back, and up forward things are worse. Your midfield can only carry you so far...

El Paso Surge Past Surfers
El Paso Pioneers (1652) defeat Hawaiian Surfers (1358)

El Paso goes to 2-1! They pick off Hawaii with a competitive total to snag the victory and put themselves right in the mix early. Daicos and Green continue to lead from the front and into the future with old hand Merrett doing his bit too. Could El Paso play finals? Anything's possible, but at the very least they should avoid the spoon from here, as Hawaii look ever the more likely to take the dishonour. It's a revolving door down at Hawaii, which might explain how Mitch McGovern ended up playing forward, but they need to figure out their best side soon, before they drop points to the other stragglers and end up with the spoon.

Leaderless Kings Get it Done
Guadalajara Pirates (1509) defeated by Los Angeles Kings (1613)

A bit rough for Guadalajara, it looked promising early on, but LA's quality was too potent to snatch a victory. Tom Hawkins looks out of it right now, but maybe a dose of Hawthorn could Pork him up? Shuey has done his customary hammy as well which adds insult to injury, but Brad Crouch continues his hot start to the year. For LA, they get away with it this week, but they might wanna get their King back sooner rather than later.

Moore Points? Moore Wins
Springfield Isotopes (1648) defeated by Dallas Coyotes (1715)

Dylan Moore carried the Coyotes to victory in standard fashion, with the usual suspects tonning up. Nankervis in particular has been very good so far this year, as Dallas become the sole undefeated team this year (again). LA, Arizona and Springfield to start off the year is as tough as it gets, so one would think they stay undefeated until the second legs of the H/A season at least. Laird was a bit of a let-down as captain, another 35 points to get to about 115 and Springfield win this game, though the real loss was Matt Kennedy.
