Round 2

IMPORTANT NOTE - PLEASE READ

AFL teams will be announcing their teams at 6:20pm AEST on Thursday (Wednesday for Thursday night games)
Sunday teams are confirmed at 5pm AEST on Friday (Saturday for Monday games)

We WILL be using a partial lockout, please read the rule below.

You are encouraged to name your full team at the start of the round and edit accordingly as teams drop each day. I understand this is not possible for everyone, hence why it would be preferred that people name their full team to begin with.

If you make any edits to your team, please do so in a new 'quote' post.

There is no loopholing allowed in ADT

- With Thursday games to start the year, you can name six (6) emergencies.

- In the event a coach either submits an incomplete team or fails to submit a team at all without contacting the admin, they will receive a warning/strike and their submission from last week will be used. Penalties for this can be found in the rules post (no sacking coaches because we barely have enough as is).

Thursday night PARTIAL LOCKOUT at 7.20pm AEST
Friday night FULL LOCKOUT at 7.55pm AEST

- Teams are to be posted in this format only

Round 2

Washington Catches Cold as Gawn Goes on Ice
Calgary Fireflies (1655) defeat Washington Senators (1649)

A heart-breaking loss for Washington who go down by just 6* points on HGA, compounded by an MCL injury to big Max, who probably would have gotten the extra points required to sneak in a victory. Good thing there's no shortage of talls down in Washington, but still a big pill to swallow. Calgary breathe a sigh of relief as they use the home ground to their advantage to go 2-0.

Forwards Fall Flat for Bermuda
Bermuda Tiger Sharks (1438) defeated by El Paso Pioneers (1453)

A very poor showing from Bermuda sees them fall victim to bottom-feeders El Paso, who might not be the bottom feeders anymore! Bermuda's forward line was horrific, combining for 194 162 points at a solid average of 40 points. Does kb back his boys in? Or will there be wholesale changes for next time? El Paso weren't much better, but they were better than Bermuda, and really that's all that matters. Nick Daicos Supremacy.

Arizona's Passenger Train gets Home
Arizona Scorpions (1620) defeat Guadalajara Pirates (1430)

Arizona put up a below average performance, but it's still a 1600 and plenty enough to do away with Guadalajara, who will now be without captain Jack Steele for a month. Pretty scary how much more Arizona can score, but they will be hoping their underperformers bounce back soon. Unluggy Guadalajara.

Out of Position Surfers Crushed by Springfield
Hawaiian Surfers (1402) defeated by Springfield Isotopes (1819)

Some interesting positional moves by coach Ringo left Hawaii lost at sea against Springfield who well and truly crushed the Surfers. Perkins, Day and Sidebottom just looked out of place on the weekend, but in the face of Rory Laird, it didn't matter anyway. Springfield look very promising this year, and will be hoping to challenge Dallas, LA and Arizona this season.

Kings Fumble the Bag
Los Angeles Kings (1547) defeated by Dallas Coyotes (1792)

Forget what I said, the Kings are washed. A couple of injured/suspended players in the XVIII threw things a bit out of order, but ultimately what are you gonna do against this Dallas side in the regular season. It ain't time for a finals choke yet, and as such Dallas are invincible. With victories against LA and Arizona squared away early, it's a dream start for Dallas, but new challengers are looming.
