Presser: First loss as coach last round, but there wasn't much to be angry about. Well there was, so Morrison and Moore have been given the boot, as has 2E after stinking it up too. Sonny is having his worst season in years, so he's relegated to sub. Maybe I should stop picking up old buggers from Houston? I didn't include May last round because team news, while DevRob and Dunstan(?) get another shot.
Whitfield and De Flog could be back, as we have 5 all round improving changes, Crozier and Morrison on standby in case our defence gets rorted again.

Houston Bombers 19.7.121 defeated Colorado Avalanche 17.9.111
(Real: 1813 vs 1671)

Both of these teams pretty much saved their best efforts for this contest...shame it couldn't both be in wins against sides higher up on the ladder. They both had their fair share of highs and kept the lows (Heeney, Wicks, OOP M6) to a reasonable minimum and hopefully can carry the momentum from this game towards beating higher up sides, because we all root for teams like these two and San Francisco and against the top teams.

Best
Houston: Ellis, Sinclair, Saad, Clark, Taylor, Bailey, Doedee
Colorado: Walsh, Drew, Hickey, Jackson, Simpkin

Ottawa Otters 18.7.115 defeated Quito Quetzals 15.15.105
(Real: 1728 vs 1573)

Some called Quito's 145-135 victory over Wisconsin the greatest ASC match of all time. Ottawa said they could go one better and I'm happy to officially call this the greatest ASC match of all time. What an upset! 1-5 Ottawa coming off a 104-110 loss to cellar dweller SF not only beat - but comfortably beat - 6-0 Quito coming off what I think was the second largest ever ASC score (or thereabouts). If it wasn't for U3 Bonar's 19 and Sub Bruce's 35 it definitely could've been an even greater victory, while for Quito they went from one score under 70 last week to 9 this week, including a CC while the other CC didn't exactly shine. One for the history books!

Best
Ottawa: Cunnington, Taranto, Keath, Dale, McEvoy, Collins
Quito: Greenwood, McCluggage, Hopper, Mills

Anaheim Mighty Ducks 15.11.101 lost to Las Vegas Sinners 17.9.111
(Real: 1521 vs 1662)

Not the best the Sinners can show, but they did enough to get the victory while simultaneously scoring less than Colorado, Houston, and Ottawa (they'll probably still outscore SF though). Meanwhile, Anaheim sink closer and closer to the bottom of the table with another very low score, although there is obvious potential in their XVIII to score much higher than this - can they? Their depth is worrying...Mitch Hannan as sub?

Best
Anaheim: Mundy, Merrett
Las Vegas: Lyons, Lloyd, Mitchell, Scrimshaw, Naitanui, Fyfe

New Brooklyn Hawks 16.10.106 lost to Wisconsin Cockerels 18.9.117
(Real: 1587 vs 1754)

Real shame Houston (plus or minus a Zak Jones type character) didn't come up against and blow away Wisconsin this week, because they were, like Quito, a fair bit removed from their Round Six performance in the second greatest ASC match of the season, featuring only the one 120+ scorer as opposed to the seemingly 17 last week, with the other two being Moore and Morrison obviously. As for NBH, they fall to 1-6 with another below average score - we all know they're a better outfit than this, but sometimes everything just goes wrong at the same time (see my WXV side).

Best
Brooklyn: Houli, Bolton
Wisconsin: May, Daniel, Miller, Parish, Macrae, Ziebell

Chicago Sharks 20.8.128 lost to Carolina Panthers 20.12.132
(Real: 1920 vs 1983)

Carolina shoot to the top of the table with a thrilling high-scorer against Chicago, who may not take the four points but can show they can match it with anybody, and would've destroyed Quito and Wisconsin this round. Look at the long lines in the best! Obviously it helps having long ass names flooding it like Brayshaw, Perryman, and Bontempelli but they still add up, and the real low scorers in Fantasia (35) and Tomlinson (0) were subbed out. It wasn't a one-man effort for the Panthers, but Grundy as captain helped out as usual, as did season-best performances by the Kelly brothers*.

Best
Chicago: Guthrie, Gaff, Darling, Brayshaw, Florent, Oliver, Perryman, Bowes, Henry
Carolina: Grundy, Kelly, Kelly, Short, Mihocek, Daniher, Bontempelli, Aliir, Daicos

Boston Terriers 18.10.118 defeated San Francisco Grizzlies 15.14.104
(Real: 1771 vs 1559)

Going into this match you'd say these are pretty much the expected scores, as Boston make it a four-way tie for the top of the ladder on 5-1 while San Francisco are very unlucky to fall to a losing record after such a good start to the season thanks to Redman, Riewoldt, and Hughes still managing to combine for 30 less than just Brad "Worst player in the comp" Hill by himself!

Best
Boston: Selwood, Langdon, Hall, Sheed, Jonas, Salem
San Francisco: Hill, Stewart, Green
