After much tinkering, I'm settled on a Round 1 team. This took me a lot of work.

I love everything about this setup. I'm leaning towards the Briggs/Flynn double act over Meek. In an ideal world, Nathan Murray gets selected in R1 and I can shuffle players around for him to secure a bit of extra cash.

Have to go heavy in def this year, rooks just aren't there. I'm hoping I don't have to shuffle Clark back to D5 right away. Might need to pray to some gods.

In the event this doesn't go the way I need it to, I may drop Dusty to Zorko/Butters, or Daniel to Stewart, or Short to May.

Danger at M4 because Fyfe and Kelly are on my never again list (unless they're dirt cheap obviously).

No Neale for me. Don't think he's worth it at the start. I had Rowell in for the longest time but TT looked solid and his ownership has skyrocketed. Plus I needed the extra cash.

Good looking side, not sold on Caldwell but worth a punt if you are short on cash.

good team. Yeah theres a chance not all of those def rookies wont play rd 1. Luckily you have a backup plan.

Swing Clark back and bring in another rookie in the forward line or midfield. I think it fixes your structure if those defensive rookies don't get up. Easy enough to do without having to find cash as well

I think I need to get Murray and maybe Bergman out, but I don’t have the cash for both. Not really sure where to trim it either, I’m thinking Short to Rich to free up 30k. Not really sure where else I can trim fat without losing Caldwell, whom I don’t want to lose.

Thoughts on downgrading Lloyd to say Stewart, Ridley. Has the knee issue and did not play AAMI so could be underdone and drop some $

I’ve definitely thought about it, I may be better trimming the fat there.
