The WXV Coaches Award

I asked everyone to nominate a player on their list - i.e., their coaches award winner - and for everyone to vote on a 3-2-1 basis on these players.

After tallying everyones votes, the WXV Coaches Award winner goes to...

Jordan Ridley (Tokyo)!

Ridley came from the absolute clouds - having only played 9 AFL games (averaging 55 to 65) before this season. Boomz liked what he saw though, and traded him in a couple of years ago from Berlin.

Ridley flourished this season, averaging 102ppg and sneaking into the All-Worlds team. The soon-to-be-22-year-old now has an argument for one of WXVs most valuable players, and is a very deserving Coaches Award winner!

Thanks all for following on in Discord, and for your patience not just in waiting for the Awards to come out (a few weeks behind than usual), but during the year as well.

Juggling my busiest year of work, together with finishing off my post-graduate studies and most of all, the disjointed nature of the season, posed a very challenging task for me in keeping the comp to the polished and timely standard I like it.

However, I'm excited at the time I'll get back next year by virtue of no longer having to study, and *fingers crossed* having a regular AFL season. Still as keen as ever at running the comp, and appreciate everyone's ongoing passion and contributions.
