The scoreline suggests it wasn't close, but it was, I promise! The Brisbane v Gold Coast game was telling, with Neale & Zorko combining for pretty much 450 points, and Dublin was forced to field a 7 from Starcevich.

A highly deserving result for Beijing, who keep on reminding us they have the firepower to go all the way. For Dublin, 2020 is a 'what-if' season, having had injuries to key players throughout.

Now this game had it all! Cape Town opened the game with sub 40 scores from Nankervis and Stephenson, and looked in all sorts. PNL were doing... OK, and barring a miracle should have won.

But then miracles happened.

Sam Menegola, and a rag-tag team of emergencies came to Cape Town's rescue, and the crowd got them over the line! Menegola's 193 was game-turning, and two tons from Cousins & Miers, along with WXV debutant Rivers' 82 all coming from the bench all stood up when the Cobras needed them to.

For PNL, this would be a hard result, having two tons on their bench themselves. The result could have gone either way, but what can't be discounted is PNLs improvement in 2020, all attributed from an aggressive trade period. So bloody good on you, PNL.

It was an even 7 v 7 performance, but Yuzawa's inconsistency worked against them, with those (particularly the forwards) selected firing in the 1s. But it was Stengle and Aish that got Shanghai over the line, in an almighty upset.
