Havent posted up a team this year, so thought I would have a crack.

I am still suspect on Lloyd, Heeney and patton

open to suggestions on structure, but want to retain GG in ruck

Lloyd will be top 6 defender, but not sure worth the starting price. Slowed down 2nd half of last year. Laird, Houston great pics and I suspect a lot of coaches will be picking them.
Would take Conigs out as touted as playing 50/50 mid/fwd. Oliver or even Kelly for similar price a better option.
Rucks standard but I'm sure everyone will be watching how Gawn goes.
Fwds - First of all I think Dusty is the only must have fwd. Not sure Whitfield worth the starting price...maybe upgrade target. Watch on Heeney especially with the fractured thumb but you know what his role will be....for me its an upgrade target as I don't see his price increasing dramatically. Patton I'm not sure about, Ceglar the better pick but if you wanna save some cash, downgrade to Bonar. Cockatoo is injured again and not sure if he'll be right for round 1. Georgiades looks set to play round 1.

You can potentially go for a 5th premo mid with money saved from downgrading Lloyd, Whitfield and Patton.

Good luck!

Lloyd/Laird to Roberton/Doedee
Get a premo M5

Heeney to Dusty or even have one as your M5 and have both?

Prefer Lynch over Patton, mainly due to durability, but I like the idea

Heard on SEN+ yesterday that Doedee will likely miss round 1 with a knee injury, so keep an eye on that.

Nice to see a different structure...personally I'd ditch Patton for Bonar then turn Cogs into Neale. It should also leave you a bit more cash to fix up the rookie situation if necessary, or try to squeeze out an extra keeper somewhere.

SydneyRox

Thanks guys, yeah the lack of a proper M5 doesn't look right,

Think I will move on the Swans and upgrade that line and see how it looks

Agree on Patton. Lynch (Rich) or Ceglar both much better mid priced options imo.

So just for posterity, here is the team I think will survive the rookies, hopefully (young!!)

Essentially the same, but have moved the Lloyd role into the mids with Kelly. Think it offers more stability and scoring potential

SilverLion

Going to be tough to keep this structure with the lack of DEF rookies now.

My suggestion (if you wanted to keep this structure) would be to go Ash to ZGuthrie/BJ Williams (if named), Young to McAsey and Starcevich to Brander.

SydneyRox

I do like this structure, time will tell.

Yup, I ended up going

Ash - Cummings
Young - Mcasey

havent dumper him yet, so may hold Starcevich..... and Rankine
