Is Roberton essential and will he get back to premo do you think?

RaisyDaisy

I don't think he's essential by any means, but his price certainly helps with us needing to spend so much extra $ on pricier rookies this year

Simply put, no

Reason why? Heart condition was spoken about as retirement worthy last off-season. He has missed a lot of footy through his career so  missing games shouldn't be unexpected. He also isn't that cheap that it makes him a no brainer and with the lack of options around him it may be difficult to use a corrective trade to move him on

IntegralX

Don't think so. Personally I have Bailey Williams (WBD) over him for 40k more. There's a few choices in that price range that look good.

I think that heart condition makes him too much of a risk.

As previously stated, he isn’t essential but is still a worthy selection. Has the ability to be a really good scorer and is so cheap.

Nope, not at all.

He was in earlier drafts of my team, but have since cooled on him in favour of a higher-priced D4. His ownership being a tick over 30% also turns me off a bit.

12 months off for a serious health issue is a big deal, especially when he was so close to retiring.

Looking at his scoring too, the 3 games he played in 2018 before it happened weren't spectacular. In 2017 he had that fantastic year and averaged 92, but really cooled off after a big start.

I mean, I understand he would just be a stepping stone, but he's definitely not essential.

Decision needs to be based on his role not his health problems as they have been addressed and he's on medication, he'd be retiring if his heart condition was going to effect him going forward.  It's not he's had a history of soft tissue problems etc.  I'm confident that he's over the medical issues, but will he play that same roll or have others surpassed him is the question?

Agree

Heart issue doesn't phase me at all

He really needs to go 80ish to be a good stepping stone, and that's where I'm not sure

He's really just someone I will consider if I am forced to downgrade a prem defender because I need cash elsewhere

If you have a spare 45k in the bank would you go Robbo over Nobel or keep the cash?

I think Robbo is the go in this case. For me Robbo does have a chance of becoming a keeper at D6 but in saying that he is my first dropped if I need that extra cash come round 1.

quinny88

Ive got off him. Prefer Noble for 50k less

enzedder

43% ownership.
One of the most popular picks and with good reason.
