Worthwhile if you are getting forward rookies off field, otherwise I think its too sideways.

I saw someone looking at upgrading to Lloyd in defence in another thread (think it was Bully?). I am not a fan of this. I assume whoever was considering this is thinking Lloyd because you see him as a must have, and won't fall in price? Gawn is in the same boat, and you'll spend the same amount of trades trying to upgrade to Gawn.

To clarify, really back this move if you are using the money to get 2 more premiums in for Gawn, especially if they are forward premos. but I don't see the upside if you are using Gawn to go to Neale/Lloyd/Whitfield etc, because you will have the same difficulty getting Gawn back in as you would upgrading to these "must-have" players

crowls

done and in the bank
Goldy to ROB
Burgess to LLoyd
+70pt positive gain.    Hoping can trade ROB to Gawn during byes and get LLoys when I thought I had missed the opportunity.    Just need somebody to give Gawn a corky to slow him down for a few weeks come round 9-10.

Money Shot

Gawn to O’brien
Parker to Boak

Atkins/Scott/Gibbons to Ross
Defensive rookie to Lloyd

Means I have:
2 defensive rookies
Walsh, Constable
O’brien
Drew

I’m very happy with that structure.

I did retract that mooted trade & went Fyfe to Libba which has been a smart play. Getting Lloyd in still very achievable, Walsh/Duursma being my trump cards, either next week or the week after.

You will then need to find the cash somehow to get another ruck in once ROB is done
If I grab ROB he is parked in ruckline until he is done and then should be easier to get a fwd than try to get another ruck in.
All good trying to gain points and/or cash but you need to look at the overall picture and if the trade is going to screw you down the track.

I had Goldy I would've gone for it.

Grundy & Gawn are still untradable if fit, could net you 300+ points some weeks.

Ive got Goldy, Very very close to doing it this week.

Can do Goldy to Sicly then next week collins to Tim Kelly which pushes Moore and Willams to F5 and D5 with Sloane at M5 and 26 trades left
