So Hoff was the burn man for me this week. Phillips played really well vs the Ryder/Lycett combo but at this point what's done is done. Ended up scoring 2123 with Hoff and Scott on the field. 28 trades left and need to figure out how to improve my side this week

Team is below with $66,600 in the bank

Hurn, Shaw, Smith, Scrimshaw, Clark, Duursma (Hore, Collins)
Macrae, Fyfe, Oliver, Sloane, Rocky, Cousins, Walsh, Scott (Constable, Butters, Gibbons)
Gawn, Hoff (Alabaskis)
Danger, Menegola, Heeney, Boak, Drew, Setters (Balta, Parker)

So the guys in bold are my worries at the moment.

I picked Shaw on the basis of the new kick in rules and it looks like it has backfired hard. From the parts of the game I watched the other night it looks like Finlayson was taking a chunk and Shaw has not been playing on all that much. After a mediocre week 1 he backed it up with a horrid 61. He has had possession counts of 19 and 15 in the first two rounds and looks to be directing traffic to his younger teammates. I'm tempted to punt him this week

Hore is a donut at the moment, he could come back this week and I don't see any defensive rookies that appear to be must haves. I'd be inclined to hold with him likely to come back with May missing a fortnight.

Menegola had a strong week 1 followed up by a mediocre week 2. He scored more SC round 1 but more DT round 2. Only 64% and 74% TOG so I'm hoping it's the fact he is working into the games and not him getting caught on the bench for long stretches with Dahl replacing him. Not exactly panic stations yet but one I will keep an eye on over the next month before I make a call.

Heeney struggling to get involved. I believe he will turn it around like Menegola, but he is one to watch

Balta looks like he might come back this week, should hopefully do so and be a slow burn, but if he is not named I'll punt him for Miers.

Only trades I'm considering are Shaw to Williams/Newman and Hore to Moore. Otherwise it's Balta to Miers or holding. If Hore and Balta are both named I could also do a Shaw to Moore straight swap. Loads me up with a ton of cash to play with in a couple of weeks.

Love the Heater to ZWill/Newman and Hore to Moore trades mate. Go for it!

Ended up going in Moore and Rozee. Hore and Shaw out. Leaves me 247k in the bank to play around with in a couple of weeks.

Laird with an 89 and 84 should hopefully drop a bit and be ripe in a few weeks. Otherwise Simmo could be the guy instead.

Great trades Mat.
I have Moore and he looks like he will be very handy. DPP is a bonus.

So I scored 2108 last week which was pathetic. 2 players knocked out and fielding a bunch of spuds (Setters/Drew) saw it crash and burn.

I have just under 250k in the bank, burnt 4 trades and could be in trouble with Scott, Fyfe, Gibbons and possibly Rocky all out.

One trade I'm considering is Hoff>Grundy. I'll still have 80k but it feels like I have burn too many trades to have f all cash.

Ringo

Sound move as there will be a couple of downgrades available next week. Stack will be on the bubble and as to will be Zac Clatke so chance to rebuild cash,

Regarding trades look at how many keepers you have then how many needed to make best 22 and work trdaes accordingly. Say you have 13 keepers so need 9 more and basically you need 2 trades to complete so say that means need a minimum of 18 trades left. So if 26 trades left a possible 8 trades for injuries etc,

I did. I didn't put the VC on him though, that went to Macrae. I have the C on Danger. Just hoping the send Matt de Boer to Kelly instead. Other option is I put the C on Sloane against North. Not sure if they really have a tagger in their side at the minute. Gibson and Dumont have done the job on him in the past for a couple of 90 odds. He has also had a couple of 145's in that stretch of 5.

Doing this I have the following

Keepers

Hurn
Macrae
Fyfe
Oliver
Sloane
Gawn
Grundy
Danger
Heeney
Boak
Menegola

Pseudo Prems

Rocky

Stepping Stones

Smith
Moore

Rookies

Rozee
Collins
Duursma
Walsh
Cousins
Constable
Drew
Parker

Of the rookies I have on the bench, I also have Clark, Scrimshaw, Butters and Setters. I could probably start 3 of the 4 on field comfortably for the time being without losing too much. Setters the question mark with Miers (who I don't have), Parker and Drew ahead of him.

Of the guys I need to grab at some point, I have the following

Lloyd
Whitfield
Neale
Cripps

They are the must haves that I don't own

Prems I will keep an eye on that should be cheaper in the coming weeks

Simmo
Laird
Sicily
Merrett
Zorko
Josh Kelly
JPK
Conigs
Selwood
Hoff (yeah, I know)
Gray
Dev Smith
Robbo
Tim Kelly
Gunston

One defender I think I will jump on is Blakely when he gets back. He is mid 400k so you could do a straight swap with one of the cheaper topped out rookies or Brodie Smith. He was one I was keen on pre-season so if he looks the goods he comes in.

If I can get a starting lineup of something like this I will be pretty happy

Lloyd, Whitfield, Hurn,  Simmo, Laird, Blakely/Smith
Macrae, Fyfe, Oliver, Sloane, Neale, Cripps, Josh Kelly, Rocky
Gawn, Grundy
Danger, Boak, Menegola, Heeney, Dev Smith, Player X

The key is now being able to get the 4 that are the must have guys without burning too many trades.

Mat0369

My team is a mess. Barely scored 2000 last week with captain Danger.

I have a lot of terrible rookies, particularly Gibbons, Setters and Scott. Looks like the plan this week might be to turn Alabaskis into O'Brien and Butters into Hore (who I traded out a fortnight ago). That gives me about 180k in the bank and means I can bench Parker. Fyfe back also helps

Mat0369

The trash continues

2115 last week, Macrae captain.

Have made a Rozee>Baker trade

Going to look at one of Sicily, Simmo or Daniel for Cousins
