It's only two weeks in and it looks like this article could be replaced with two words from now on: Tom Mitchell. Each week I will tell you some statistics on a player's last 3 games, their last 3 against this week's opponent, and their last 3 at this ground. I will also do a quick overview on my thoughts and have a guess at their score for this week. From all this, I'll give you my top 5 captain choices for the week.

Pendlebury
Last 3: 118, 108 (113 avg)
Last 3 against Carlton: 109, 124, 118 (117 avg)
Last 3 at MCG: 118, 108, 92 (106 avg)

It's odd that Pendles feels like a POD this season after so much consistency but he's scoring well yet again and I'm not hearing him mentioned. Should be good against the Blues. Prediction - 115

Oliver
Last 3: 125, 114 (120 avg)
Last 3 against North: 128, 97, 89 (105 avg)
Last 3 at MCG: 114, 101, 93 (103 avg)

Oliver broke out last year and looks to be taking yet another step this year. Was good in the last matchup against the Roos. Be wary of a Jacobs tag though. Prediction - 110

Fyfe
Last 3: 123, 67 (95 avg)
Last 3 against Gold Coast: 132, 121, 119 (124 avg)
Last 3 at Perth: 123 (123 avg)

Looks like it's not the stadium but the city because scores at Perth Stadium are looking as good as they ever did at Subi. Fyfe loves the Suns and is back home again. Prediction - 120

Coniglio
Last 3: 120, 146 (133 avg)
Last 3 against Sydney: 119, 98, 85 (101 avg)
Last 3 at SCG: 85, 127, 93 (102 avg)

Legitimate captain option after the first two weeks. Jump on the Coniglio train before it's too late. Prediction - 120

Steven
Last 3: 112, 133 (123 avg)
Last 3 against Adelaide: 102, 103, 98 (101 avg)
Last 3 at Etihad: 112, 133, 117 (121 avg)

There were concerns about the Jacobs tag last week but it looks like Ross is the tag target this year. Steven smashed it despite his team getting smashed. I think he's back. Prediction - 120

Gibbs
Last 3: 113, 139 (126 avg)
Last 3 against St Kilda: 103, 100, 75 (93 avg)
Last 3 at Etihad: 139, 105, 97 (114 avg)

An annoying bye is the only thing keeping Gibbs out of my team this season. Huge start although form against the Saints leaves a bit to be desired. Prediction - 115

D. Martin
Last 3: 127, 110 (119 avg)
Last 3 against Hawthorn: 117, 103, 99 (106 avg)
Last 3 at MCG: 127, 110, 90 (109 avg)

Dusty likes playing the Hawks and has started the season hot. Definitely one to consider each week but he won't even be the best scorer in this match. Prediction - 115

T. Mitchell
Last 3: 137, 156 (147 avg)
Last 3 against Richmond: 99, 138, 61 (99 avg)
Last 3 at MCG: 137, 156, 99 (131 avg)

40 disposals while tagged? Tom Mitchell is insane. No point picking anyone else until he lets you down. Prediction - 140

Macrae
Last 3: 134, 109 (122 avg)
Last 3 against Essendon: 98, 102, 129 (110 avg)
Last 3 at Etihad: 134, 116, 75 (108 avg)

I think I've seen Macrae in a grand total of one team so far this season. Just because he's not a DPP, doesn't mean he can't be a top scorer. Smashing it so far despite his team struggling. Prediction - 120

Ablett
Last 3: 138, 117 (128 avg)
Last 3 against West Coast: 117, 120, 118 (118 avg)
Last 3 at Perth: N/A

If GAJ can stay fit, he'll be a top scorer for sure. Started really well so far this year and has great for against the Eagles. Plus, this new stadium is great for fantasy. Prediction - 125

Dangerfield

Last 3 at Perth: N/A

Welcome back, Danger. He's definitely a captain option each week but I want to see one more week of him with his gun team mates before considering if he's a better choice than Tom. Prediction - 120

There is someone on the board without Titch, Martin and Danger.     God help the poor barbie.
Go forward captain pickss will be based on Loophole availability but will always be Fyfe, Titch, Danger and Dusty.   Still remember  60ish C scores from danger and Fyfe last year
