About time I get started!  First crack for 2018 in my 3rd year, still feel like a novice in this format, but enjoying it more than any other format.  200K in the bank for changes.  All rooks are place holders at this stage, my mids will make or break me.  Thoughts from the experts would be much appreciated. :)

DEF: Laird, Simpson, Sicily, Murphy, Doedee, Murray (O'Shea, Goddard)
MID: Danger, Fyfe, Bont, Beams, Parker, Cripps, LDU, Ahern (Brayshaw, Freeman, Barry)
RUC: Goldy, Gawn (Cameron)
FOR: Heeney, Billings, Lobb, Christensen, Keefe, Venables (Rioli, Kirby)

Money Shot

Two concerns with this team.

a 124k D4 doesn't leave much wiggle room.

Lobb is in doubt for round 1 and therefore quiet a risky pick.

in saying that love your mids and rucks.

good first team.

Nice. 14 possible premiums. Solid mids, ruck and fwds.
Like Parker as a POD he seems most likely to start well out of the Sydney boys.
Defence may need strengthening pending available rookies.
Lobb may not be ready so I'd use some of that cash to fund a replacement and maybe a midprice D4.

Cool dudes, didn't realise Lobb was looking to miss round 1.  I do feel my def is a little weak depthwise, however I don't think there has been a year where premo priced players haven't dropped in price.  Considering Rance and Shaw too, 2 guys who have been past premo's.  Like a said I have 200K in the bank for that extra wriggle room.  Now if I need to move Lobb, I might even consider Ah Chee pending JLT form.  Going stick to this till I see some JLT and we get closer to round 1.

Nice team but will voice the others concerns with the rookie at D4 and Lobb.

Think we should have some nice mid rookies to choose from, so might be worth dropping your least favourite down and then beefing up the defence with a another premium and possibly Lobb up too.

Yep will look into this, think I will bring Birchall into D4 and sort something out for Lobb, whether I go down or up depends on how the 1st round looks.  cheers.

As of right now my team looks like this.  Still a bit of tinkering to do pending rookies in round 1, but I like the look, the scoring potential and the cash generations of this.

Pretty stoked with my first round team.  Moves to possibly make prior to round 3.

Seedsman -> Bonner
Bont/Fyfe -> Cripps/Danger (but expect both Bont and Fyfe to bounce back)
Ryan/Venables -> English

Hopefully I won't need more than 2 correctional trades though.  Fingers crossed Seedsman performs a little better, signs were good, 26 possies through the mid/def lines.
