*UPDATE*

New side has been put through, see my most recent post for what my current side looks like.

Hey guys, just putting through my first draft for SC this year. The rookies aren't set in stone as they will always change during the pre-season games and who gets picked round 1.

The main thing to critique is the premiums and mid price players.

Thanks in advance.

Nice, very very similar to my own team. I can spot a few issues though.

Pros:
- I really like the potential of Hanley with a new coach and more mid time, I have him in my team too.
- Lloyd is also a potential top defender, thinking that he may be a better option than Witherden whom I currently have, as they are the same price, yet Lloyd has 4 seasons under his belt compared to WitherGOAT's 7 games.

Cons:
- Isn't Birchall in doubt to play round 1?
- I really don't trust Nic Nat's fitness, he may be managed throughout the season too and late withdrawals can kill you in the ruck line with only a rookie to cover.
- The only POD you seem to have is Oliver, who I'm not a massive fan of but that's just me I guess.

I like the defence, Laird who seems to be the best bet for the #1 mantle and then two guys who are underpriced for what they can produce with Birchall who if fit should score 75ish and make some money with better job security than rookies.

Midfield is very strong.

Rucks are pretty standard but as said I am not set previously Nic Nat is a real concern and if you could find the money to get Jacobs I would get him.

Heeney and Billings are who I think will be the number 1 and 2 forwards come seasons end so rate those picks and Lobb if fit and the number 1 ruck could be a top 10 forward as well and you are getting him very cheap for what he can produce. I don't think there will be 5 rookies that will play in my opinion. Venables and Garlett look likely and should score well enough and then you have Ahern as well who I think is injured but if he gets game he should score well and then Rioli and Ryan who look destined for 50s and not much money making. Would try and get someone like Christensen/Ah Chee if you can. (Fogarty/Higgins don't look like getting early games)

Fogarty probably won't get named round 1, ran a 12 beep at the combine so needs significant work on the tank, also had some surgery on the meniscus last year.

Higgins better than even money, has been training with the mids and is ready to join the rotations. D.Rioli has only just started running so there will be spots in JLT up for grabs. Do well in those and I think he can push out some of the fringe players. Someone like Jacob Townsend still needs to string together a few more strong games.

Anyhow, good team, I like it a lot. Rayner down to Wigg, Fogarty to Christensen.

Nice side, similar to my own. Concerns are that your forward line is too weak and the concerns over Naitanui.

Side has been updated, here is what it currently looks like heading into next week.

Only changes from here would be potential injuries and which rookies are named.

Mids,Rucks,Fwds all good if Lobb plays I think he's still in doubt.
Really like Oliver and S.Martin as PODs.
The backs have 3 r14 bye players giving u 7 in total. I'd look at upgrading Mills as u possibly may have to upgrade him anyway.
O'Shea is borderline best 22 I think.
