Agree with Ubeut here if going without Danger, I would consider it essential to have at least one of Dusty or Titchell in your team. Both may fall in value but will be in Top 5 at seasons end so why not start one and save a trade.

Apart from that nice team and good to sit on till team announcements.

Final team,

Can't ignore Brayshaw's JLT performance so he comes in as a cheaper alternative to JOM/Armo at M7. 90 is a reasonable expectation from those guys, don't expect Brayshaw to average 90 through the season but even 80 will make more cash and allows some breathing room in other lines.

Still tossing up between Libba and Coniglio. Have been leaning towards Conigs the whole season but I'm getting more and more tempted to go Libba.

And I realised today that I actually think Bundy is a shower pick and I think I've thought this all along, so I'm just going to roll the dice and go two rookies down forward.

Final shuffle of the premium mids and I think I'm ready for this year. Now to log out of supercoach until Monday morning otherwise I'm going to flower something, I know it.

Good luck with the next six months everyone, hopefully they won't be wasted.

Final starting side was:

Hurley, Laird, Hibberd, Naughton, Doedee, Finlayson (Murray, Keeffe)
Oliver (C), Crouch, Zerrett, Fyfe, Coniglio, Brayshaw, Kelly, Barry  (Holman, Banfield, Dangerfield)
Goldstein, Gawn
Heeney, Billings, Smith, Dunkley, Fritsch, Waterford (Garlett, Giles-Langdon)

Scored a putrid 2076, disappointed is an understatement.

Next week Dangerfield will hopefully be back so he comes straight on and Zerrett will be named. Main concerns are at D4 with Naughton, not really sure what to do with him at the moment as his role doesn't look very good and at F5/F6, think i'm going to be losing points here for a while.

Advice with these slots would be greatly appreciated.

Basic Rule do not panic after Rd 1 as trades are precious with only 30 for season. So unless you have injuries long term I would not trade but your choice.

Not a bad side. Naughton will be used as a lock down player while dogs have injuries so put on bench and play Murray.

team is fine SS,  you might get away with naughton to bonner and brayshaw to a low priced mid for rnd 3.   nothing else needed mate.

good advice, thanks guys. Time to hold and hope.

Week 2 side

Hurley, Laird, Hibberd, Murray, Doedee, Finlayson (Naughton, Keeffe)
Dangerfield (C), Oliver, Crouch, Zerrett, Fyfe, Coniglio, Kelly, Holman  (Barry, Banfield, Fogarty
Goldstein, Gawn
Heeney, Billings, Smith, Dunkley, Fritsch, Waterford (Garlett, Giles-Langdon)

Scored 2297 this week, definite improvement from last week. Biggest downside was Crouch with an injury affected 50, wanted more from Danger as well but given Crouch was VC it's probably a decent result.

Made a late trade of Brayshaw to Lachy Fogarty to free up some coin on Thurdsay night after Crouch's injury, this should give me the cash to go Crouch to Martin.

No other correctional trades planned. Next in line to go will be Waterman and Naughton.

Week 4 side

Hurley, Laird, Hibberd, Murray, Doedee, Finlayson (Naughton, Keeffe)
Dangerfield, Oliver, Martin (C), Zerrett, Fyfe, Coniglio, Kelly, Holman  (Barry, Banfield, Fogarty)
Goldstein, Gawn (Olango)
Heeney, Billings, Smith, Dunkley, Fritsch, Waterford (Garlett, Crowden)

Looking at 2210 for the round

Last week I moved Ryan out for Crowden, sitting on a $122k nest egg at the minute which I'll probably use to upgrade Dunkley this week, or will be used to move on Billings who I think needs to go at the moment.

Glad I held Zerrett, but Goldy and Hibbo are on the chopping block.

I'm in a similar situation to you with all 3 of Hibberd, Billings and Goldstein.
I think Hibberd has to go as he's losing so much cash while not showing any signs of last year, while others that are falling around him such as Yeo and Hurley have both shown they still have the same role as previous years so they can continue to push out tons.

Billings was never going to score well against good teams (as he's a seagull), however he's a flat track bully and last year tonned up on the bottom 8 sides 7/8 times I believe (heard that stat somewhere around the forums). It's a tough decision though as the saints have a very tough run coming up.

Goldstein I'm gonna hold, as the only option I'd think about upgrading to is Grundy and he's risen to 610k. I don't see him keeping this form up, at least not the constant 140s, and so it's extremely risky to spend 120k (your entire budget) just on that position.
