I was going to wait and see who would post something about the scratch match on Sunday, but seems no one is prepared to give a summary. So here goes.
A good hit out from the Dockers boys.I think we fielded a much more experienced side than the Eagles, but surely their supporters would have to be disappointed with the way they played.
from a Dockers perspective, we showed some good signs, some very good and exact ball movement.
Was impressed by Nathan Wilson running off the HB line. His kicking is superb. He will be a real bonus for us.
Alex Pearce slotted right back into the back line and another bonus for us.
Luke Ryan carried on his form from last year and will be headed for another good year.
Hamling played well with out being out standing.
Of the new recruits this season, Bailey Banfield seems to be relishing the next level of football, after a very good season with Claremont last year.A certain starter for round one.
Brayshaw, looks the good .Makes good and decisive decisions.
Langdon and Tucker looked very cool throughout the game and used the ball well. That is except for Langdons kicking for goal.He was shaken up a bit by the bump from Liam Ryan. But a great bump.Good to see he got up with a smile on his face.
Our better more experienced players all contributed to the win.Wasn't sure what to make of Johnsons game, but he will get better as the season goes on.
Dan Pearce I thought played well.We need to get more from McCarthy and Kersten , but both will make the first game side.
Ballantyne stood out as well.
Not sure about Matera. He still seems a little over weight to me.Maybe he will spend some time in teal at Peel.
Taberner once again looked good.He has carried on his good finish to last season.
Froma Dockers perspective, we played well, but things will get much tougher from here in.

It's gonna be a long year for us Eagles fans that's for sure.  Jetta looked real good (finally), MvGov was his usual self, Lecras and Darling continue to be trash, Ryan looks good and looks like he wants to play, Cripps put in a huge effort I thought.  Everyone else was very mediocre.  Surprise of the day for me was how good Taberner looked, have always called this guy Craberner cos he dropped so many marks over the year, but looks like he's finally got that part of his game down.  Will be a focal point of Freo's attack.

Taberner has had me going topsy turvey on him.One week he is good next terrible. But he finished the season off well last year.He may just have found confidence in his own ability.

Honestly was shocked both JLT games, was surprised how he could keep getting games over the years, but now I'm impressed!  That was so hard to say, lol.

I think it is hard for many Dockers supporters to say that as well. But some just take longer than others to mature.
I think we have done well in our last two drafts and trade periods.
Seems to be a lot of upside to who we have.
I am eagerly waiting to watch Crowden, the kid from SA.He looks a beat in the running and tackling mode.
Cirra seems to have the coaching staff buzzing. Also Giro has been impressive with his hit out.
