Current team, $16,300 in the bank.

I know I want to start with 2 gun forwards (Billings and 1 of Greene/Heeney) - think these 3 will average head and shoulders above the next few but Greene and Heeney's pre-season isn't looking to flash.

I am mainly toying with Oliver/D.Smith at this stage. $1,068,200 to spend between these two spots. D.Smith killed the intra-club today playing almost exclusively mid so Smith + Oliver/Kelly are looking mighty tempting at the moment.

Keeping Rd14 in the back of my mind and trying really hard not to pick up to many of them and are holding Simmo/Curnow in high regard due to their nice bye.

Rookies pending selection, will drop Oliver to bring in Ellis if I need to bolster defense.

Nice team so far mate!

I like the Oliver pick, could be a nice POD as only 6% picked at the moment. Many might be thrown by his rapid price rise from last season.

SilverLion

Love the Oliver pick too. Side looks great, forward line a bit too much risk for my liking though.

Love everything about this team.

Only concerns (same as everyone else) is Smith and Curnow at F2/F3

Concerns with both of them are they are probably going to average around 85-90 which is good enough to keep but will be a fair bit off the top 10 in my opinion.

Heeney
Greene
Billings
Barlow
Gray
Dahlhous
Franklin
Menegola

Could all go 95+ If things go there way and although many wont if they do you will be 10ppg behind the pack unless you think Smith and Curnow are a good chance of pushing a 95avg then they could pay dividends

With JLT kicking off this weekend thought it would a good time to sit. Latest version with $105,100 in the reserve bank.

With concerns over defense rookies I've cut Oliver and gone to 5 premiums - makes me a tad sad, I love a strong starting midfield (who doesn't) but it's for a better team balance that should pay off in the long run. I think we should have a few good mid rookies lining up Rd1. Most likely looking at going with 2 of LDU/Brayshaw/Brodie/Dow/Setterfield at this stage pending their roles over the JLT and Rd1 selections and round the line out with the best cheap rookies.

Thoughts: McLean and Sicily are my least favourite for at the moment and Billings is very likley to slide in for McLean if he runs through the JLT unscathed. Sicily can stay for now, he was in my original team so I'm backing my gut for the time being and low risk at D4 - might make a decent D7/F7 swingman come the end of year worse case scenario.

Nice Team to sit, Just keep an eye on a rookie for mid/fwd DPP link. Higgins or Ahern could move there and bring in another forward rookie.

I like the Maclean selection and just hope he has the same role he finished last year with but watch in JLT.  Averaged 93 from 12 games after the byes which is OK for forwards.

Very similar team to mine so I can't fault it. :P
