2018 - First Team Advice!

Hi guys!

first time poster here, just wanting to get some thoughts on my first draft of 2018!

DEF - M.Hurley, R,Laird, D.Roberton, E.Richards, T.Doedee, B.Paton (S.Murray, A.Morgan)
MID - P.Dangerfield, D.Martin, A.Treloar, L.Dallhaus, C.Patracca, A.Brayshaw, L.D.U, W.Brodie (Z.Bailey, T.Kelly, J.Worpel)
RUC - T.Goldstein, N.Naitanui (S.hayes)
FWDS - L.Franklin, I.Heeney, M.Barlow, R.Stanley, K.Jack, J.Higgins (J.Stephenson, L.Ryan)

I like the Backs Roberton nice POD

Mids IMO Dahl,Petracca and Brayshaw if you want them should be in fwds and backs and then get in some prems

Hey mate and welcome :)

Don't mind the defence is 5 rookies get up. Like the Roberton pick as he will be a nice pod (player of difference)

Mids need a bit of work, First two are great picks and I don't mind the Trealor pick as he is a decent chance to score around 105-110 if a bit of luck goes his way. Dahlhous and Petracca are good selections in your forward line but not good selections in your midfield. The reason for this is a 95 average is enough to be a top 10 forward where as you want to be scoring 105+ in the mids.

Dont mind the Goldy pick but would be wary of Preuss taking his points. If Nic Nat is fit come round one he will be hard too pass up.

Stanley is a very strange pick in the forward line and I would like your thoughts on him. Jack is another one who looks past it and is unlikely to do enough to be a keeper.

Stanley scoring 70's and potentially missing weaks is not worth the dpp.

Stanley too a rookie and Petracca to a premium mid would make the team look heaps better.

Nice team, well structured. Like the Barlow and Roberton picks. No Gawn is interesting, given almost everyone has him. As MS asked, what are your thoughts on Stanley? Don't see him as a top 10 forward myself.

Team looks better but still dont think Heeney and Wingard in the forward looks good.

Swap Heeney into the forward line for Menegola

Wingard to Coniglio
Menegola to premium mid

Would look heaps better.

Agree with Mpneyshots comments. Wingard with Rd 10 bye also an issue. Need not be Coniglio but one you like and can afford same with menengola.

Exactly. Only reason I said Coniglio is he will be cheap enough that he can get an ultra premo with his Menegola trade

I think players like , Heaney , brayshaw etc should be in Fwds , backs but not mids . .

Hi Ricey, here's my take on your team;
DEF: Good, leave it for now and wait for JLT to decide on rookies
MID: Dahlhaus & Petracca need to go, get Fyfe & Cripps instead
Ruck: Yeah...nah, get rid of those two and get Gawn & Jacobs
FWD: Get rid of Stanley & Jack, not SC relevant, get Billings & Rayner
