Hey! You can insert an image into an image tag to make it a bit easier for everyone else, like so:

DEF - I'm not a huge fan of the McGrath pick, can't go wrong with laird or Simmo though.

MID - Don't like the Armo pick personally, but I know quite a few are a fan, and he has scored well before. Rest looks very good.

RUCK - Stock standard, looks good.

FWD - Menegola, Buddy should both be top 5/10. Smith I like, should get more mid time at the Dons. Stringer...not as sure. Would probably prefer someone like Lobb. How much cash left?

All in all, not a bad start. McGrath, Armo, and Stringer the only picks I'm not too keen on, but really like the rest :)

. Thanks for inserting the image tag for me . $190,900 left

I did check and you are a bomber supporter and the 3 you have picked are risky the backline is a bit weak the mids need another 1 or 2 proven guns ( why not Merrett ? ) and the FWD's I would rather Daniher than Stringer but only my opinion good luck  ;)

Peter

Obviously a gambler, so good luck. Midfield will struggle against other draft teams imo

Ringo

Not a bad first up effort.
You have 190k left.
I  would use this to bring in another prem mid by upgrading Coniglio or Armitage who I am not keen on.
Would also look at downgrading Stringer to Bennell. Christensen or AhChee and then upgrade McGrath in defence,

At the moment I count possibly only 11 prems who will be in Top 10 in their positions. Ideally to keep pace with pack you would need 12 - 14 to start with. This will also cut down on trades required as well.  Have a look at some of the other teams to get an idea on structure.

Another piece of advice it is your team so go with gut on any decisions you are doubtful on as gut is seldom wrong.

Good point , have removed Stringer and Armitage and replace them with Bennell and Z Merrett, still have McGrath as he will probably spent time in the midfield , only 1.6 k left

Hannebery was so underwhelming this last season, I'm definitely once bitten twice shy as far as his selection is concerned.  2017 was a shocker for him, but could be just an anomaly, I'd rather let someone else find out!

With you on Hanners, too many other mid choices to bother with him.      Zerrett likely to be a POD and proven scorer.  Bennell good forward option with plenty of upside and minimum downside if he makes it to Round 10.

Like the McGrath pick as most of the def come with risk and only Laird, Simmo really proven 95+ & 2000 pts per annum scorers.   McGrath can easily go on with it especially if he gets mid time.   Stringer swap for
Bennell or Lobb.    Also need to assess how Menegola goes with GaJ in the team.

good start, basics are there.

Peter

Just Menegola the query, is there any other Bombers you could bring in for him?

+1

Peter

Still think McGrath needs to be upgraded - not a cash cow and not a keeper

Money Shot

I for one am watching McGrath very closely with the likes of Watson, Stanton, Hocking and even Kelly going someone is going to need to pick up the slack in the midfield. McGrath could be that guy and if he is I don't see why he wouldn't go 90+ and be a decent D6 keeper.

Armitage and Stringer to Merrett and Bennell is a really good move as now you have an extra super premium.

Menegola is the only one I don't like as a pick as he probably won't improve his average whereas Heeney, Billings, Greene, Barlow and others could and therefore are better value for money picks at this stage in the season.

best of luck for 2018.

Don't think I'll have the nuts to get McGrath but he is worth a look in the pre season for sure.
Lots of good advice and points made here and by others.

Peter

You can always do a correctionsl trade after R2 if all the experts are wrong
