Vintage Fc - How far can they go?

So I was thinking about an interesting idea for the 2018 season. Get some of the somewhat forgotten popular Premiums from previous seasons as see how far they can go. One of the reasons for this is I just love some of these players and they may not be available next year (example Hodge) so I thought why not make a team with all these players. Would love some input on who I can add and also your thoughts on how far they can go altogether.

Def - Simpson, Hodge, Shaw, Birchall (not forgotten but still a vintage player), Richards, Doedee (Morgan, Murray)
Mid - Ablett, Fyfe (must have), Pendlebury, JPK, J.Selwood, Hannebury, Griffen, J.Higgins (Ahern, Kelly, Garlett)   
Ruc - Jacobs, Goldstein (Olango)
Fwd - Franklin, Gray, Mundy, Deledio, Venables, Baker (Fritsch, Ryan)

Bank: $34300

So far a work in progress. Some players were not able to fit in purely because they just aren't viable in SC and would make this whole thing a waste of time.

Well don't like the backline to old
Don't like that the mids have no Danger or Mitchell and to old
Rucks don't know what Goldy will do after this year
Fwd's a bit to old for me again
So over all to many oldies but apart from that good team  :P
