just finalized my first crack at 2018, as it stands its :

DEF: Hurley, Yeo, Laird, Birchall, Richards, Murray //  Doedee, Balleden

MIDS: Danger, Dusty, Titch, Fyfe, Bont, Rayner, LDU, Stephenson // Garlett, Moore, Barry

RUCKS: Gawn, NicNat // Hayes

FWDS: Heeney, Lobb, De Goey, Bennell, Higgins, Ahern // Naish, Ryan

189000 in the bank,

all rookies will almost definately change come round one  ;D

i know ive gone light in the forward line but i cant see anyone that screams pick me as of yet, have plenty of cash in the kitty and ive gone extra heavy on the mid rookies (rayner LDU) to give me some room to play with

any thoughts or suggestions would be very helpful!!

Good first team Kos.
DEF Hurley to me is priced at his max and is likely to drop price.
2017-  20 games for 2050 points 12@100+  Previous best season avg 94 over 19 games for 1800 points.  I need my top Def to get 2000+ guaranteed.    May be an upgrade option.
MID starting likely top 4 players so hard to disagree.  Bont has definite upside.
RUC NN will be a popular pick at this price.  Jacobs will be a more reliable or less risky option if you dont have ruck cover.   If NN can get to Round 10 without rest or injury then a simple trade to Ryder will cover your ruck risk.
FWD Interesting selections against the grain here.   Lobb should be a top 5 fwd as starting ruck for GWS.  De Goey is in the window for a major step up in output but comes with risk.  Heeney will be top 5 fwd by avg,  issue will be how many games he plays.  Bennell should be best performed returnee from injury and at worst a reasonable cash cow with possible keeper status.

Cheers

Money Shot

Very similar to mine so obviously I am a fan.

Some good players of difference mixed in with some top 5 players for there positions.

good team to sit on I would say.

Ringo

Nice Team first up and good enough to sit on. Nice cash reserve as well at $189k as well for maneuverability.

As a suggestion though if you want to use R3 as a floating donut for VC Loopholes look at Olango from Eagles who have 12 Sunday Games.

SilverLion

Nice side with a very interesting forward line that could potentially pay off big time. What can you see De Goey averaging next year?

Dons

Nice structure. Personally I like the Hurley selection, and also the cheaper fwd line.

I think Billings screams out pick me due to his DPP and his draw

Isn't he forward only? Agreed with the draw though, also has a favourable bye.

Peter

My bad - yes forward only, but first forward picked

Unfortunately Billings isn't DPP in 2018, but he's a gun and should have a great year so merits selection anyway.
